Chapter 4~ It Was Surprising

Hunter began turning up his volume on the car just as Panic! At the Disco's "Miss Jackson" came on to Q102.

"You put a sour little flavor in my mouth now. You move in circles hoping no one's gonna find out." Hunter sung softly to the music. I've gotta admit, he's a pretty good singer.

"You should sing more often" I said more quietly than I usually talk.

"What was that, short stuff?"

"I said, you should sing more often. You're really good." I said, giving him a slight smile as the chorus came on. He then gave we one of his famous, award winning smiles as we both started belting out the lyrics with the front windows rolled all the way down, for my singing to give everyone in a 50 foot radius displeasure to their ears.

"He-eyy

Where will you be waking up tomorrow morning?

He-eyy

Out the back door

Goddamn

But I love her anyway

I love her anyway

I lover her anyway

Out the back door

Goddamn

But I love her anyway"

Soon enough, we made it to his house, or should I say, mansion, as we appeared at the gates in front of the long driveway. Before we came to the gates I noticed that he lived on Whitman Boulevard. That's practically a 30 minute drive from my house!

I saw Hunter's arm reach out of the window towards the device hanging onto the gate. He then typed in one of those complicated passcodes as the gates opened opposite of the cars way.

"Why didn't you just hit the buzzer thing so someone else can let you in?" I questioned, as Hunter started driving his Red Bentley along the pathway to the entrance of his house.

"Because nobody's home?" He said, having it sound more like a question than a statement.

Great, now I had to be alone with this guy for 3 hours.

Yay me.

"And here we are," Hunter announced, throwing his school bag across the room and plopping down onto his king sized bed. I took a look around his room. His walls were painted a burgundy color with posters of half-naked girls hung for all eyes to see. Typical. I also noticed that he had a black desk in the corner of his room with one of those really fun spinny chairs to sit in. Against his wall was a 52" flat screen television along with stacks of R rated movies and MA video games beside it. Obviously feeling a little bit awkward being in Hunter Blake's room right at this very moment, I decided to go to the spinny chair.

I didn't care to pay attention to the floor. So as I was a couple feet away from the chair, I tripped over what seemed like a box. I fell head first to the velvety carpet flooring, having my head end up on what seemed like a giant t-shirt of his. I could hear Hunter's laughing a couple feet away from me.

"Care to help me up?" I asked him, picking my head up from the floor.

"Nah, I'm good." He answered, playing a game on his phone as I stood up.
