Chapter 8~ What the Hell?

Another shitty day of school awaited me as I woke up to Taylor Swift's 'Blank Space' on my phone's alarm. I've been addicted to that song since Taylor Swift released her '1989' album, and I'm impressed by how many songs I enjoy on it.

I hit the 'snooze' button on my iPhone as I hopped out of bed and took a quick morning shower. As soon as I got out around 20 minutes later, I realized I was running late when I looked at my phone and saw the time: 6:20am.

Since it takes a hell of a long time for a girl like me to get ready, I quickly found the most decent school attire to wear for the day, which consisted of some light-wash Hollister ripped jeans, a maroon 'Vans' shirt, and my regular tan Uggs. I then put my hair up into a messy bun and one of those sporty Adidas headbands, and did my casual makeup. As I was heading downstairs I noticed my mom's bedroom door was closed, which was unusual since she'd usually be down in the kitchen wasting her sorrows on some more Jack Daniel's that has yet to be finished.

As I almost slipped down the stairs, I noticed that Sissy was in the living room watching "Frozen" for literally the 100th time since it has been released on DVD.

"Aren't you ever gonna get tired of that movie?" I asked her, pouring some 'Special K' cereal into a bowl, just as Elsa begun to sing 'Let it Go.'

"Nope" she replied, then began to sing along, which drives me absolutely crazy. I almost keep forgetting that Tanner's party is in 3 days, so Staci, Lyra, and I are all going shopping after school today to try and find the sluttiest dresses.

Just kidding, I'm not going to show up looking like a thot when I'm actually still a virgin.

Just as 'Let it Go' was finished being performed on the TV, I let out a sigh of relief. I'm beginning to seriously hate that song.

"Don't forget to catch the bus this morning," I told Sissy, as I walked out the front door and slammed it shut. Since we had a carpet in front of the door, the door wouldn't always cooperate with dragging across the rugged surface.

It was 6:30am when I spotted Lyra's Toyota Camry pull into my driveway. I was about to get into the front seat when I noticed her cute little Dachshund, Scamp, sitting in the front seat. Lyra rolled down the window, then stated that "Scamp's gotta ride in the front seat."

We started laughing when she was trying to say a quote from "White Chicks," but trying to change the words around to make me understand it.

So, we just laughed as she popped the passenger seat door open, and I got in while holding Scamp and placing him in my lap as we drove to our prison of a High School.

It was time for Mrs. Weed's chemistry class, and I was already prepared to die. It was Tuesday, so that meant we were about to take a "pop" quiz. How I know this? We always take a "pop" quiz. Every. Fucking. Tuesday.

Since Chemistry is one of my worst subjects, it's basically the only subject that I don't tutor Hunter in. Which reminded me that I have to tutor him today after school again.

Joy.

The warning bell just signaled as I plopped into my chair and placed my books on the ground beside me. Surprisingly, Hunter rushed into the room right after me and took his seat. He was never this early to class. Never.
