Evangeline woke up early Sunday morning and jumped into the shower whilst Pansy was still sleeping. She slid off her silk green pyjamas and stood in front of the mirror, disgusted in her appearance. Evangeline pulled at her stomach leaving red marks all over her skin, she closed her eyes and wondered if Cedric had left the party the other night because of the way she looked. She hadn't seen him since that night when he disappeared although she had spotted him a couple of days ago at the front of potions he didn't wait for her at the end of class. She turned the shower on and stepped inside, pulling the curtain across, she closed her eyes and let the water flow over her face. She presumed he would be going to Hogsmeade today, it was a tradition that all students visited the first Sunday back to school so Evangeline wanted to look extra good to make him regret leaving. She lathered her hair with lavender shampoo and washed her body, she shaved her legs and other areas deciding on wearing a dress today.
Evangeline stepped out of the shower and brushed her hair through, it was long, reaching her mid back. She debated cutting it all off there and then but she didn't. She was always such a confident person, when it came to her appearance she was happy with how she looked but everything changed over the summer. The palm of her hands began to sweat and she felt light headed. She flipped the toilet seat up, fell to her knees and pressed her hands against her now clammy forehead. She began coughing and spluttering into the toilet, her head was pounding and her vision blurred.
"Evangeline! Are you okay?!" The concern in Pansy's voice was apparent. She opened the door and flung a towel around Evangeline's exposed body and grabbed her hair pulling it behind her head, rubbing small circles on her back. Pansy's gentle pressure on her back calmed her down and Evangeline composed herself and sat back against the wall.
"What happened?" Pansy whispered, Evangeline's eyes were still closed and her breathing was heavy "I know you've had a rough couple of months"
"I think the shower was just too hot" Evangeline lied. She wanted to tell her the truth about how she was feeling. Pansy took her thumb to Evangeline's cheek and rubbed gently.
"Let's leave Hogsmeade, we can stay here and relax" Pansy suggested, wiping the corners of her mouth with the towel.
"No, no let's go" Evangeline nodded.
"Only if you're sure?" Pansy's head tilted to the side, her eyes narrowing towards Evangeline's.
"I am, thank you" Pansy kissed her cheek, pulling up her arms up to help her up.
