The Neighbourhood - Alleyways ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
"Morning everyone! The time has come." Cheers filled the hall as Dumbledore approached the podium, lifting his hands in the air summoning a piece of parchment from the goblet in the centre of the room. A blue light flashed out causing a gust of air to send the small piece of parchment into Dumbledore's hand.
"The first Triwizard Champion is... Victor Krum!" The hall erupted. Krum stood up from his seat, high-fiving his friends and receiving fist bumps as he walked towards the front. Dumbledore shook his hand as he proceeded through the door at the back of the room. Evangeline's legs were shaking under the table as the next piece of parchment flew from the Goblet.
"Fleur Delacour!" once again, the room was filled with cheers and clapping. She hugged a couple of her friends around her as she gracefully made her way to the front to shake Dumbledore's hand before entering the same door as Krum did.
"And our last champion is..." Evangeline could feel her heart beating inside of her chest. Her knees knocked together in anticipation "Cedric Diggory!"
"Yes!" Evangeline turned to the Hufflepuff table asCedric stood up and thrust his fists into the air. All of the students in the hall stood up cheering and clapping, his friends began hugging and congratulating him but Evangeline stayed seated. Cedric caught her eyes and ran over to the Slytherin table, he pulled her up from the bench, twirled her around hugging his arms tightly against her waist. He then held her face and kissed her. A soft, sweet, quick kiss. Just as it began it was over. It was breath of fresh air. Benjamin's mouth was ajar as he watched them. Pansy winked and Elijah grabbed her hand and sat Evangeline back down next to him as Cedric walked away. Theo stared at her with a shocked look, his eyes flicking between a few other students who were whispering further down the table. Draco kept his eyes down as if nothing had happened.
The hall was loud and chants began "Diggory! Diggory!" Evangeline watched as Cedric, grinning as wide as he could, approached Dumbledore, they embraced. A uneasy feeling began creeping through her, a small pain in her lower stomach made her wince.
Cedric headed to the back door as Dumbledore approached the podium once more "There you have it, our three Wizarding champ--" before he could continue the Goblet began spitting blue flames from the top, making students in the front row jump and duck. The Hall fell silent. A piece of parchment flew from the Goblet and into Dumbledore's hands "Harry Potter?" He muttered. Gasps filled the room. Eyes were all on Harry, his head down, eyes closed. "Harry Potter!" Dumbledore yells. McGonagall was stood up behind him, looking as confused as the rest of the students.
"He's not even 18 yet!" Students began shouting and standing up, as Harry made his way to the front, his eyes wide and lips parted.
"Everyone return to their dormitories immediately" Dumbledore exclaimed before rushing away.
