To Build A Home

Fifth Year.
Evangeline Lily woke up to the sound of light rain hitting her window. She slowly opened her eyes, pulled back the duvet and adjusted herself to the light creeping into her room. She reached over and fully dragged open the sage green curtains revealing the miserable day it was outside. A knock at the door turned her attention from the window and towards the dark door at the far end of the room. As the door creaked open her mother stood in the doorway, holding a glass cup containing green tea, the smell wafted its way over to the bed. Evangeline's cat Binx entered and roamed around the room, stretching out her body whilst yawning slightly.
"Morning" she slowly walked over to the foot of the bed and passed the hot cup over to her daughter, steam escaped the top of the glass hitting the tip of her nose as she took a small sip "we leave in an hour, best get yourself ready" with that she slipped out of the room closing the door gently behind her.
Realising there was only an hour left get ready, Evangeline made her way to the bathroom and flicked her wand up to her hair to tame the long dark curly hair bouncing from her head. Over the summer she had put on a bit of weight. No, definitely put on weight, she thought. She had been naturally skinny all of her life, very up and down, as her mother used to say. Now her breasts had grown slightly, a good handful and a half of boob as Pansy says, not a lot but enough. Her bottom was now more plump and rounded which she liked as clothing clung tighter to this area creating a flattering fit. The only thing was her stomach and thighs were the biggest they have ever been. Feeling extra self conscious she decided to cover up her insecurities by wearing an outfit she knew would feel her best in.
Changing into a black silk shirt, she left open a couple of buttons subtly showing a bit of cleavage, Evangeline left off her bra as it was more comfortable. She accompanied this with her black wide leg trousers, a chunky belt and favourite heeled brogues. She took another quick sip of the tea whilst flicking through a large makeup bag, which lay on the floor, picking out items to use. Her hands soon ran down her face, pulling at her cheeks bringing a slight pink hue to them. I looked tired. Shaking her head she began curling her lashes, applying a lot of mascara and lining the lids of her eyes with a brown eyeliner. Her face was soon covered with a light layer of foundation before adding bronzer to her cheekbones she filled in her eyebrows whilst brushing them into shape and finished the skin off with a glistening highlight. The final touch was her favourite pale nude lipstick topped with a clear lipgloss.
Evangeline's hand rose to her neck feeling her bare skin, and realised the lack of jewellery that hung from it usually. Opening her jewellery box she placed a gold pendant around her neck and let it fall delicately down her chest, this was the last gift she ever received from her grandmother, it was the one she had worn herself. Her mind wandered to her grandmother, her favourite person, although Evangeline usually preferred being alone her grandmother was her exception. Her favourite thing was to listen to Evangeline sing, she was the only person she seriously sang and played piano to. A small smile crept onto her mouth as she recalled her partaking in a couple of karaoke sessions at Slytherin parties but that was about it for public performances. She hadn't touched the piano since her grandmother's passing, it was too painful to imagine her sat there, closing her eyes and tapping her feet listening to her sing. The image of her grandmother brought a single tear to fall down onto her cheek but it was quickly wiped away in an effort not to smudge her freshly applied makeup.
