MGMT -
Little Dark Age

Draco and Evangeline's desk was empty when Draco walked into potions, everyone else was sat in their usual seats. He spotted Pansy near the front of the class on her own, no Evangeline. He pulled the stool back and sat down letting his bag fall to the ground beside him.

"Okay class, today we will be brewing" Slughorn stopped and directed his attention to the door which began to creak open slowly "Ahh Miss Lily, nice of you to join us"

"Sorry I'm late, Professor" she spoke quietly, as she stood lingering in the doorway like a shadow.

"Not to worry, come on in, we haven't started yet" Slughorn shouted loudly before continuing "ah yes, today I would like you all to prepare a batch of Invigoration Draught, turn to page 14 and get started" he clapped his hands and sat down at his desk as he continued marking papers.

Evangeline pulled her stool back slowly and sat down softly. She signed heavily and pulled the text book from her bag which was hanging from her shoulder. Her hair was pulled up off her face and her black round glasses rested on the bridge of her nose.

"Hey Ev, how's your head?" Theo smirked and turned to face their table, laughing with Blaise.

"I've had no complaints so far" she snapped back and gave him a sarcastic smile causing the two of them to turn back around still laughing. She brought her finger to the page of the book and followed the words with her finger, making a mental note of the ingredients they needed to collect. She stood up quickly and headed towards the back of the classroom whilst she did so Draco picked up some flasks and placed them around the cauldron.

She returned back to the table with her hands full of alihotsy leaves, dried billywig stings, peppermint, stewed Mandrake, infusion of wormwood, honeywater, vervain infusion, scurvy grass and lovage. Draco separated them all and followed the instructions from the text book, placing the alihotsy leaves and honeywater into the cauldron. Once all the ingredients were in Draco began to stir the potion slowly in a clockwise direction. As he did so, he would purposely catch the ladle on the side of the cauldron causing it to make a noise. This annoyed her, the expression on her face became more tense but she didn't say a word.

Her head was propped on her palms, her eyes focused on Pansy's head a few tables ahead. They didn't speak, they didn't even look at each other. Draco presumed she had forgotten about their encounter this morning or more accurately couldn't remember it. Draco rubbed his calf under the table, it was still sore from where she had stepped on him. He looked down into the cauldron to check the colour was turning either blue or orange as it stated it should. It was currently a deep purple so he presumed it would be blue soon enough.
