My eyes opened and adjusted to the sunlight that poured through the slits of the blinds. I turned to find Matt still fast asleep. He didn't get much sleep with those nightmares keeping me up all night.

"Zoe." Matt's morning voice, that I dearly missed, called my name.

"Good morning Matt." I spoke sweetly.

"I want to chase my past." He stated out of nowhere and sat up in bed.

"Matt, you've just got out of the hospital. Maybe after we finish your temporary meds. They'll be over in 6 weeks." I explained, hoping that he'd understand.

"Oh yeah, okay. Just promise me that you will help me find out about my scar." His harmless self looked over at me. I returned and nod, then carried on to go shower, assuming he'd let himself out.

I locked the door to the master bathroom and turned on the shower. I skimmed for some clothes in my closet, before settling for a gray top and adidas sweatpants. I stripped from my clothing and got in the shower.

After finishing up, I wrapped my towel around myself. I searched for my bra but couldn't find it. I probably had left some in my suitcase which wasn't fully unpacked.

I tightened my towel around myself and unlocked the bathroom door. Matt's eyes moved straight onto me and moved away from the TV. My cheeks flushed red, for I don't know why. He had seen me naked before, but then again it was something he didn't remember.

Matt covered his eyes with the blanket, probably not knowing what to do. He then said, "Sorry, I was going to go but a soccer game was on."

"I need something from my suitcase so hold on a minute." I told him.

I found my suitcase and decided to lug the whole thing into the bathroom. You may think lugging a heavy suitcase with one hand and hold your towel with the other is easy, its not.

About half way through my journey to the bathroom, my towel decided on slipping and falling to the ground.

"God dammit." I pulled my towel up and wrapped it around me.

"Do you need help with the suitcase?" Matt called out from under the covers, still. The boy was weak, not being exposed to a females body. I mentally laughed at my comment in my head and accepted his help.

He got up and picked up the suitcase with such ease. I motioned for him to follow me into the bathroom and to set down the suitcase. He then looked at me and I looked back. It was an awkward situation.

"I uh should go." He stammered and then left.

I locked the door behind him and got dressed, now having all my articles of clothing. I blowdried my hair and did some little makeup.

I opened the door and Matt was still there. The first thing he did was cover his eyes, just incase. That cute boy got a giggle out of me because of his confused actions.

"You hungry?" I asked him, getting an imeadiate nod out of him.

"Why don't you go shower and then we can have breakfast at this small cafe by the beach." I said and he agreed to the plan, then scurried off to his room.

He was like a shy little kid. I made sure I had some cash. I would have to go back to work soon, and I had no idea how I was going to feel about leaving Matt home alone.

After about 10 minutes, I heard Matt calling for me.

"Zoe?!"

"Yeah Matt!"

"I need a towel!"

I ran over to the storage closet and grabbed one for him. I was about to push open the unlocked doors, but remembered the shower doors were clear. As tempted as I was to just barge in because I didn't care, I knew he would be uncomfortable.
