The cab dropped us off to my place. Matt wanted to stay at my house for a bit before he had to go see his family. We got our bags out and I took a deep breath. Time to see my mom again and let Matt meet my mom for the first time.

I rang the bell and waited. The door peeped open and there stood my mom. She was different. She didn't look the same at all. I hadn't talked to her since I got out of college. We just never found the time. She looked miserable. Something wasn't okay. I decided on waiting on asking since Matt was meeting her for the first time.

"Hi mom." I hugged her tightly and she hugged me back for a little longer than expected.

"Zoe! What happened to your wrist?!" She exclaimed after looking at my cast.

"Oh um, I fell at the skatepark and I broke it. I'm okay now, don't worry." I smiled at her, great I was lying to my mom in the first minute of meeting her.

I moved aside so Matt could meet her. Matt, being his polite self, extended out a hand for my mom to shake. Instead my mom pulled him into a hug. My mom absolutely adored Matt, and I guess it hit her hard as well when she found out he had lost his memory.

We entered my house and it was just the same. Nothing had changed one bit.

"You go unpack, I'll fix up some breakfast for you two." My mom told us and Matt thanked her.

We got up to my room. Nothing had changed. Everything was the same. Matt wandered around my room. My wall off pictures had lured him to it. God Dammit. There were pictures of our friends and us, but more importantly there were pictures of us as a couple. It was too soon for him to know, but now I have no choice.

I pretended I didn't notice and began unpacking my suitcase filled with little things.
Where was Sawyer? Then I remembered that he would wander around the neighborhood and then come back. Matt was going to love Sawyer.

"Zoe." Matt breathed out, in a sigh. "You never told me all this?" He sounded hurt but I was wanting to protect him from too much at once.

"Look, it was too soon to tell you. You needed time." I vaguely explained which probably angered him more.

"What was our relationship before my memory loss?" He frowned at me, stepping closer. I was silent and he took advantage of it.

"Zoe! Matt! I've gotta run to the store! I ran put of syrup." My mom yelled and then we heard the door shut.

I was now alone with Matt and I was scared out of my mind. Never was I scared to be alone with him. This wasn't good. He moved closer to me and it felt like my feet were glued to the floor.

His fingers trailed from my hand, to my shoulder, and stopped at my collarbone. My stomach was full of knots. I closes my eyes, preparing for the torment from him that I would soon receive.

"Answer me Zoe!" His voice boomed through the room, startling me.

"We were together, more than friends." I squeaked out, and chewed on my lip.

"Is that why you are with me? So we can be together and you can do what you want with me?" He shot questions at me, taking all of this the wrong way.

"No. I want to help you. I want to help you get you're memory back. You are my best friend. " I spoke a little of what I really wanted to say.

"Why should I believe you?" He kept questioning me for now reason.

"Because that's why I brought you here. That's why the boys are here too." I couldn't quite think of how to convince him.

"So if I kissed you, you wouldn't kiss me back? You wouldn't touch me? You wouldn't feel anything?" He dared me almost and I slowly nodded because he wanted me to prove myself.
