I woke up with Matt still beside me, asleep. I was glad he was still here because for some reason I thought he would have left. Matt laid there sound asleep, with his arms still clutched around me.

Why did he want to leave?

Why was he the first the say goodbye?

Instead of getting out of bed, I stayed in his arms. His strong arms held me close to him. I slowly turned myself towards him, while still remaining in his clutch. I rested my head on his bare chest.

I was hoping that he had not found a place to stay at and would get to remain here slightly longer. I slowly got up from bed to find that the house was darker than usual. It was 8 am and the sun should have been out.

My fingers pried open the blinds and I peeked out to see the sky was filled with dark clouds. So today was going to be all storms. I loved it when it rained.

I made my way over to the kitchen and made myself a cup of tea. The bell rang, making me wonder who could possibly be here this early. I turned off the alarm system and opened the door. Our mail was left on the ground. I picked it up and brought it in.

I flipped through mail, until I stopped at an invitation from Isabel. I opened up the envelope to see there was a dinner party at her place. Both, Matt and I, were invited. I was quite shocked that she had bothered inviting me. She hates me.

So much for staying in on a stormy day.

I kept the envelopes aside and went to go check on Matt. Matt was in the same position expect this time he was hugging his pillow. I sat beside him, brushing through his soft hair. A tiny smile curved onto his lips.

"Wake up sleepy head." I spoke and ruffled his hair.

Matt groaned hugging his pillow tighter.

"Hey, you've gotta wake up." I shook him awake gently and he finally gave in.

He opened his eyes and pulled me onto the bed back beside him. I wanted to get up but I simply couldn't. Matt faced me towards him and put my hand on his hair, indicating that he wanted me to brush through it.

I brushed through it and he smiled at me once again. My kissed my forehead and pulled my on top of him. Why was he making all this harder than it should be?

"We have to go to Isabel's for a dinner party tonight." I traced my finger on his jawline and to his chin.

"I hate fancy stuff." Matt sighed, not wanting to go just like me.

Why were we even going?

"So we can stay home?" I asked with hope in my voice.

"It will make her feel bad if we don't go." Matt reasoned, but in reality I didn't care how Isabel felt.

"But you just got out of the hospital yesterday, you need to rest." I was attempting to convince him, but judging by his facial expression I knew he wasn't buying it.

"Cmon lazy bum." Matt spoke in a cute tone.

"I am so not a lazy bum." I protested, crossing my arms over my chest.

"No no, you're totally right. Your bum isn't lazy, it's cute." Matt winked at me and then got up from the bed finally.

"You wanna shower?" I asked in which after I said it, I realized how wrong it sounded.

"So you're into that kind of-" Matt began before I interrupted him.

"No! I meant so we can change your bandage and make sure your cut stays clean." I explained when I knew he was going to bother me about this all day long.
