APRIL 2ND

For a wedding that was planned in just a week, the outside of the cottage was beautifully set up and decorated, ready for the day ahead. Invitations had been sent out to close family and friends of Teddy and Victoire as quickly as they could and those additional guests would be arriving that late morning. Molly had been cooking and baking for days with the help of Ginny, Hermione and Fleur. Lily and Rose were tasked with putting together the flower centerpieces for the guest tables as well as the flower archway Victoire and Teddy would stand under for the ceremony.

The taller of the men-- George, Bill, Ron, they put up the four beams that would hold up a ceiling of string lights above all of the guest chairs in the ceremony area. Scorpius and Albus put up the wedding tent and Teddy helped them arrange the tables and chairs inside for the reception. The process of setting up had started day before and trickled into the next morning, the wedding day. Albus couldn't imagine how much work it would have been to put together their original, outrageous wedding plan.

That morning, everybody woke up early to add the final touches to everything so the wedding would be just perfect, allowing Teddy and Victoire to sleep in before they had to get ready for their special day.

"Watch it!" Scorpius yelped as Albus passed by him at a dangerous closeness, holding numerous knives in both of his fists as they both whirled around every table, setting out cutlery next to the beautiful ornate plates that Fleur had picked out.

"Whoops." Albus hummed, turning the knives upside down to they wouldn't be facing outwards. He was still half asleep as he'd only been woken up an hour ago at the disgusting hour of 8am by Scorpius and Teddy, who had been up for hours, making stuff blow up with George down at the beach.

"Simple, but pretty, don't you think?" Scorpius said, admiring the reception tent. It was beautifully glowy inside as the lights were golden orbs floating around the ceiling, casting soft light around the tent. To make it look even more enchanting, pale pink and white wisteria flowers hung down from the ceiling, making the tent look like a flowery cave. Beside the cluster of round tables, there was a large dance floor. And of course, a bar area on the other side of that. Rose and Lily had done a great job with the centerpieces that graced every table, along with a series of small votives which were jinxed to stay lit all day and night.

"I need a drink," Albus grumbled, rubbing his tired eyes, "Coffee, I mean." he said quickly as he received a disapproving look from Scorpius who had to babysit a drunk Albus just last week. Scorpius's expression quickly changed to amusement however and he placed a soft kiss on Albus's nose.

"Sorry you're so sleepy. You'll perk up when the wedding starts. But now that I think about it, I do recall someone saying something about coffee being ready in the kitchen," he smirked as Albus's mouth fell open.

"And you only told me now?" he exclaimed. Scorpius chuckled and watched Albus already start making his way out of the tent, "Bring me some, will you?" Scorpius called, "I'm exhausted."

"And who's fault is that?" Albus shouted back, playfully.

"George and Teddy's! They dragged me out of bed! I had no choice." Scorpius replied with a small smile as Albus rolled his eyes over his shoulder.

"Looks great in here!" said a voice entering the tent. Teddy admired the space, feeling the nervous jitters of knowing he was getting married that day! "You ready for this, best man?"

"Of course I am, the important question is, are you ready for this?" Scorpius smiled, clapping Teddy on the shoulder. Teddy took a shuddery breath and nodded firmly.

"I mean, i'm terrified. And uhh, Vic is getting ready right now and I don't know what I'm going to do when I see her in her gown...and I'm scared shitless of course but-"
