CHRISTMAS EVE AT THE BURROW - 6:00PM

"Scorpius!" Teddy greeted Scorpius and Draco at the front door of the burrow cheerfully, "Mate, you've got to tell me about that quidditch match. Bloody brilliant what you did!" he eyed Draco's intimidating face and added, "And...erm a bit stupid, of course," he clapped an arm around Scorpius's shoulders. "Come on, George and I have been waiting to hear the story all day!" he led the blonde away, to the backyard.

"Dray, you're here! Try this," Ginny greeted Draco promptly by pushing a drink into his hand, "And put this on. Mum made it and she's making us all wear them." she said, draping a forest green, knit sweater over his shoulder. His heart nearly skipped a beat before it positively soared with silent excitement. Draco tried to conceal his joy but he couldn't help the corners of his mouth from turning up slightly. He hid it by sampling the drink that Hermione had likely concocted for him.

A Weasley sweater. Just for him. Molly Weasley had made him a sweater...he felt like he was back at school again. He could vividly remember Ron and Harry wearing them their first year at Hogwarts. He had been so jealous...even when Scorpius had received one every year, as embarrassing as it was to be jealous of his son's friendship with a Potter. But now he had one. Everyone in the room was wearing one. Ginny was dabbing her own with a napkin as she had slopped some of her drink over it moments before. Hermione was sitting with Ron and Harry by the fire, all donning their Christmas sweaters.

"Put it on!" Ginny said again, taking the drink out of his hands so he could put the sweater on over his t-shirt (Scorpius had forced him to dress more casual this year). And so he did, he patted it smooth against his chest and looked down to see a white knitted "D" on the front. It was extremely warm and cosy, almost as if Molly had infused her motherly energy into every knot and seam.

"Perfect. Come, let's show the others," Ginny grabbed his wrist and pulled him over to the hearth, "Alright guys, what do we think?" Ginny asked the trio while pushing Draco front and center to show off his new outfit.

"Very dashing." Ron said jokingly with an approving eyebrow raise.

"Dray! You look adorable." Hermione exclaimed with a wide beam. She leaned forward and picked a few bits of fuzz out of the material while Harry nodded.

"Oh yeah, definitely a change from your usual attire but handsome nevertheless." Harry said with a sarcastic smirk. Draco hoped that they didn't notice him start to blush a little bit. He didn't want to admit that this was already the best Christmas he'd ever had in his entire life. Ginny pulled him up a chair and he accepted it gladly, ready to settle in for a warm, Christmas night.

"Where's Al? I expected him to greet us at the door." Draco asked Ginny casually as he scanned the room for his son's fiancé. The boys had only been apart for two days for the start of winter break and the they had been talking about each other the whole time. Nonstop. Seriously.

"He was up in one of the guest bedrooms with Rose last time I checked, I expect they'll come down soon if they figure Scorpius is-"

"-Why didn't anyone tell us he was here?" came Albus's incredulous voice as he and Rose ran down the stairs and into the living room, they were both wearing sweaters by Molly as well, "I just heard him in the garden through the window. How long have you guys been here?" Albus asked as he redirected his attention to Draco, whom he hugged affectionately before hurrying towards the door to the backyard. Apparently not caring for an answer anyways.

"Scorp!" Albus exclaimed, catching sight of Scorpius who was sitting on the top of the picnic table, under the Weasley's large lemon tree. George and Teddy were sitting around him, eagerly listening to his story about the quidditch match.
