"What you don't have now will come back again."
- 'L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N," by Noah and the WhaleKurapika had started to explain his Nen and some of the conditions he set. It might've gone against your own moral principles, but you were convinced those didn't exist the moment you started dating an ex-assassin. Kurapika also explained how he killed Uvogin, which you felt kinda bad about, and he explained how he was now working under the Nostrade family.
Most of what he said about Nen, you were already taught. However, you assumed that Wing didn't teach Gon and Killua about this stuff, so you didn't interrupt.
"Look, I'm telling you this because I trust you, don't tell anyone else," Kurapika placed his hand down, looking at the four of you. Leorio's headache must've worn off, because he set his coffee down on the table.
"What the hell?" Killua let your hand go and stood up, as erratic as before. "Why would you tell us something so damn important?" Even Gon seemed surprised at his outburst, which was remarkable.
"I'm not really sure," Kurapika had replied, his voice coming out honest and sad. "I've been feeling down ever since I learned the leader was killed."
You looked up at Killua, "It should be fine if we keep it on the hush-hush. Besides, who would want to know about Kurapika's Nen anyway?" You debated reaching out for his hand, deciding against it. The moment didn't seem right and you were sure it would only agitate him more. "Well, I mean, I guess the Troupe members who survived would- and I see the issue now," you saw what Killua was getting at, what he explained to you the night you got away from the Troupe.
That one of them could read your memories. It was fine before, you had nothing to go on, but with Kurapika giving out all his secrets to you, if you were caught again, there would be an issue.
"Exactly," he turned to Leorio and Kurapika, "one of the members, the ones that didn't die, can scan your memories. If the Spiders find out about what you told us, they could easily kill Kurapika."
"She didn't learn anything from us last time though," Gon commented, his hands resting on his knees.
"That's right, but we didn't know anything then."
"Well, then all you have to do is stay away from them," Leorio sat down in a chair next to Kurapika, proposing the idea as if it was so simple, "and if they already checked you out, they would think that you're clean."
"There's another guy, Nobunaga." A clear image of the guy with long hair came into your head. "He's real dangerous. He's looking for Kurapika, while chasing after me, [y/n], and Gon."
"I don't actually think he wants me in the Troupe, just want to point that out there," you said it very quietly, more like something that you were saying to yourself.
They continued talking about this, until Killua sat back down and Kurapika piped up, "I've also been in contact with Hisoka. He knows that I am the chain user."
"What?" You looked at Kurapika, your eyebrows furrowed. Why would he be talking to Hisoka? Of all people? The thought made you want to shudder. "Why?"
"Well, you see, we made a pact. But, his target was the leader of the Troupe, is dead," Kurapika explained a bit, "I'm not sure what he'll do now."
