"I'm not the type of girl
People fall in love with."

'The chairman? This is weird,' You thought to yourself, tugging the sleeves of your shirt.

"Oh, I just work behind the scenes," Mr. Netero waved it off, being humble. "It's not all that impressive. I only interfere with the Exma when little issues like this one pop up. Now dear Menchi," Menchi called to attention. "It has come to my understanding that you've chosen to fail all this years applicants, the reason being their general reluctance to challenge the unknown."

"I challenged the unknown, and I did it perfectly fine," You whispered underneath your breath.

"Not exactly, Sir. I snapped when a candidate insulted Gourmet Hunters and, I'm afraid I made the Exam harder then necessary," Menchi admitted, her head turned to the ground.

"I see," Mr. Netero nodded thoughtfully. "It seems you're aware that this Exam is completely unacceptable."

"Yes, it's just that I get so emotional when food is involved. I'm not suited for this position," Menchi threw her head up. "I must resign. Please allow them to retake the Second Phase."

"Sadly, I don't know where I'd begin to find another Examiner on such short notice," Netero told her.

"My deepest apologies, sir," Menchi bowed and stood back up, standing taller then Netero.

"Wait, I have an idea," Netero held up his hand. "You continue serving as Examiner, but you yourself must participate alongside this years applicants in completing whatever challenge you choose," Netero proposed.

"The examiner is taking the Exam with us?" You turned to Killua.

"Seems so," His eyes looked over at you, before turning back to the two Hunters.

"That's a bit weird," You furrowed your brows and looked at the ground.

"Maybe, but it might be normal. We're only rookies afterall," Kurapika commented. "But everyone else seems to be surprised as well at this, so it's safe to assume that this is different."

"This seems pointless, just let us pass already," Leorio griped.

The Chairman let you all take a ride on the airship to Eagle Drop Mountain. You stood near the back, not wanting to get squished by everyone. You leaned against the wall and folded your arms. You waited to arrive at the mountain, but it seemed to be taking awhile. You looked up when Killua sat next to you.

"Gon had to go to the bathroom," you explained.

"Do you know when he's going to be back?" Killua pulled his knees up to his chest, resting both of his arms on them. He seemed to be contemplating something, but you didn't feel the need to ask.

"No idea. Maybe he ran into a pervert," You shrugged.

You heard footsteps ran towards you and saw two green shoes in front of you.

Looking up, you asked, "What took you so long?"

Killua sat up straight and waited for Gons answer.

"I ran into a pervert," Gon answered. "Killua was right, we should stay away from Hisoka."

"What happened?" You pried.

"It was kinda weird. He just looked at me and smiled, but it was enough to freak me out," Gon admitted. He seemed a bit shaken up, his whole form on edge.

"We have arrived at Eagle Drop Mountain. Please line up quickly and as formally as you can," The intercom announced.

Standing up, you heard and felt your bones crack as you stretched your muscles. Walking behind Killua with Gon behind you, everyone loaded off the airship and spread out over the cliff.
