Chapter 15- Leah

Namjoon walked down the halls of the mansion. Almost a month had passed since he arrived there. Yet, its beauty still managed to astound him. The walls had huge paintings of Geek Gods and Goddesses, each having a plaque stating the entity's name written in English, Greek, and another language he didn't understand. As time passed, Namjoon learned each God and Goddess' name and history. His main sources of information were Hoseok and the Mansion's library.

Yes, the mansion had a library. Yoongi had shown it to him a few days after he arrived, and Namjoon spent a lot of time there. He figured he should know as much as possible about the Realms they had to visit, but the library seemed to have books about everything except them. That is why Namjoon spent most of his time reading Greek myths, and trying to figure out some logic in them.

Sometimes, Hoseok would help him, whenever he got time off from building the ship. Other days it was Jimin, volunteering to give all the information he had.

At first, everyone refused to believe that Hoseok could build a ship, that too a flying one, in a month. Then Hoseok had said something about being 'Leo Valdez', which won Jimin over to his side.

And believe it or not, with a little help from Jimin, Namjoon and Yoongi, Hoseok had actually managed to do it. The ship, which Hoseok named Inez, would be ready to set sail by tomorrow.

The thought of Sooyeon hit Namjoon, and he realised he might never get a chance to confess.

Namjoon had liked Sooyeon for a long time but he never confessed for two reasons. The first one being he didn't have the guts, and the second being his crush was Jungkook's elder sister.

Namjoon also felt that he wasn't good enough for her. Even among his friends, his powers were the least useful. Jin could heal people, Yoongi could turn invisible, Hoseok had amazing mechanical skills, Jimin had superspeed, Taehyung could see the future through his dreams and Jungkook could control people with his voice. Compared to all that, Namjoon was pretty shallow.

He had finally gathered the courage to tell Sooyeon about his feelings after the graduation, but certain 'circumstances' had made it impossible for him to do so.

"Don't think about Sooyeon," Namjoon said to himself, "You can't change what has happened now."

In his hasty attempts to divert his train of thought, Namjoon's eyes fell on a door he hadn't seen before. He opened it and saw a room that wasn't unlike his own, except framed pictures covered the walls. He approached one of them and saw Yoongi smiling fondly at a girl. Judging by her appearance, she appeared to be about two years younger than Yoongi. She had straight, platinum- blonde hair that fell below her shoulders. Her blue eyes sparkled with happiness as she laughed as if Yoongi had told her a funny joke.

Namjoon's eyes scanned the other pictures. Yoongi and the girl were in all of them. Namjoon thought of the day Yoongi had accidentally mentioned someone else living in the mansion with him. He hadn't pushed Yoongi too much because the topic seemed too touchy for him. This girl must have been the other person.

"But who is she?" Namjoon asked himself, "And what happened to her?"

Namjoon felt pressed for answers. He wanted to know who his friend had been living with for the past few years. He wanted to know what happened to her. Because the mansion was a safe place for the Rarae Aves, right?

So he went to the desk and looked through the drawers. In the first he saw nothing but papers that seemed to be manuscripts. In the second, he saw what appeared to be a journal.

"Am I that desperate for answers that I am looking through someone's journal?" he asked himself.

Namjoon decided against it. Answers were not worth someone's privacy.

He was about to lose hope when he opened the third drawer and saw another photo of Yoongi and the mystery girl. Except at the bottom were the three words:

Yoongi and Leah.

"Leah," Namjoon said out loud. The mystery girl's name was Leah. The name echoed inside his head.

But who was she? How did she come to the mansion? Most importantly, where is she now?

The questions were plaguing Namjoon's mind, and there was only one person who could answer them.

Namjoon turned around, only to see Yoongi standing by the doorway.

"Done some investigating, haven't you?" he asked.

"You mind telling me who she is?" Namjoon's curiosity was getting the better of him.

"Yes," said Yoongi, "I mind."

"What happened to her?"

Yoongi faltered.

"I don't know," he said.

Namjoon looked at one of the pictures on the wall. The way Yoongi and Leah looked at each other was similar to Taehyung and Jungkook.

"Were the two of you a thing?"

"No. Now get out. This room is off limits."

Namjoon left the room without pushing the matter any further. His mind was burning with questions about Leah. He wanted to know what had happened to her. Yoongi said he didn't know, and Namjoon believed him. Something about the way he said it sounded sincere.

On his way to his room, Namjoon bumped into Hoseok.

"Hey!" said Hoseok, his cheery tone distracting Namjoon. "You want me to help you with that research you doing? Cause I'm free right now."

Namjoon needed to tell someone about what he had found, and believe it or not, despite his loud personality, Hoseok was amazing at keeping secrets. He was the only one who knew about Namjoon's crush on Jungkook's sister.

"Actually," said Namjoon, "I need to tell you something."

"So you're saying that a girl named Leah lived with Yoongi in the mansion?" Hoseok asked once Namjoon explained all that he knew.

"And they lived together for who knows how long, alone?"

Namjoon nodded. "Seems like it."

"I can't believe Yoongi didn't tell me this."

"He didn't tell anyone. The first person he would have told would be Jin, and looks like he doesn't know either."

Namjoon wanted to go back to the room and look around until he found some answers, but he knew better than crossing Yoongi. The answers would have to wait.
