Chapter 17- Pillow Fight!

"Jimin! You doing good over there?" Jimin heard Hoseok's voice calling out to him from the other end of the engine room.

"Yeah!" he replied, "All good. What about you?"

"Everything is fine over here. Why don't you, Namjoon and Yoongi go to the captain's? I'll brief you about the piloting system, so the four of us know how to steer Inez, just in case."

"Okay!" Jimin bolted to the main deck, where Yoongi and Namjoon were doing some final checks.

"Woah, Jimin," said Yoongi when Jimin whizzed next to him, "Don't do that. It startles me."

"Yeah, whatever. Hobi wants the three of us to go to the captain's cabin so he can run us through the piloting system."

"Alright."

They went to the captain's cabin and Hoseok explained the navigating system.

"Wow," said Jimin once Hoseok was done. "This is much simpler than I imagined."

"I know. I thought it's better if it's less complicated."

"Well, you thought right," remarked Yoongi.

"Are you sure we have to leave today?" Hoseok asked Namjoon.

"Yes according to my calculations, the barrier opens tomorrow. I don't know what time, but it's best we leave by today."

Everyone nodded.

"Alright then," said Yoongi, "I'll call the others."

Once they all were there, Hoseok gave them a tour of Inez.

"There are five rooms, so we're going to have to share."

"I'll room with Jungkook!" Taehyung immediately volunteered.

"No way!" said Jin, "There's no chance the two of you are staying in the same room on my watch."

Taehyung pouted. "I'm with Jimin then. And I want the room closest to the kitchen."

Jimin laughed at his brother's cuteness.

"I say we leave a room for the Guardian." said Namjoon, "They're supposed to join us in the realms."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"I'll share a room with Yoongi, if he doesn't mind." Jin said.

"I don't."

Hoseok nodded. "I'll room with Namjoon. Jungkook, that means you're alone."

Jungkook's eyes lit up. "I'm alone? I'm alone!" he exclaimed, clearly excited at the thought.

Jimin laughed at the youngest one's cuteness. "Come on! I'll show you our rooms," he told Jungkook and Taehyung.

The three best friends explored their rooms for sometime.

"Hey Jimin?" Jungkook tapped him on the back.

"What?"

"Wanna play something?"

"Like what?"

"I was going to suggest tag, but then you're overpowered."

"True."

Taehyung jumped excitedly. "I know," he said, "Pillow fight!"

"WHAT?" Jungkook and Jimin said in unison.

"Come on, it might as well be our last pillow fight. With all these crazy things happening, who knows when we'll have time for one."

"He's right," Jungkook nodded.

They both looked at Jimin, pleading.

"Okay, fine," Jimin resigned.

"Woohoo!" Taehyung grabbed a pillow and brought it down on Jungkook.

Jungkook was stunned for a second. Then, he snatched the pillow from Taehyung, and hit him back. Taehyung giggled and hit Jimin.

In a few minutes, the three were laughing and giggling in a pile on the floor, feathers all around them.

Jimin missed times like this. Carefree, and full of fun. When nothing but their laughter and happiness mattered.

"I'll be honest, I want to be a kid again. No worries, no hard work."

"No maths," Jungkook said wistfully.

Jimin and Taehyung chuckled.

"What the hell?" They saw Jin standing at the door. "I leave you kids alone for a few minutes, and the whole room is a mess!"

The trio took one look at his face and burst out laughing.

Jimin agreed with Taehyung. Who knew when they would get another chance to have fun again? He closed his eyes, letting the feathers fall softly on his hair and shoulders.
