"How do you intent to do this?" Sabo questions from beside you, a clear pout etched into the blonde's features as he idly fiddles with a single flower on display outside the florist's store.
It would seem your lover likes these colourful little plants.
How cute.
"C'mon, Sabo." You make sure to mumble your demand whilst avoiding eye contact with him since there's a few people out in the street and they'll certainly think you're going crazy if they hear you speaking to yourself, the blonde obediently catching up to you with a wide smile spread across his lips.
You can't help but notice the slight spring in his step as his eyes eagerly take in his surroundings. "I always knew Rosinante would make a good florist~!" He's happy to be outside, that much is obvious, but you can't help but worry over the fact that he hasn't said a word about Ace since leaving the house.
Although, if you were to push the subject, it could make him more nervous so perhaps taking his mind off the impending meeting would be best.
"You know that man?" You recall briefly speaking to that florist, Rosinante, when you first ventured into town to buy furniture. In fact, he gave you directions to the store.
"Yeah, kinda. I think he was friends with one of my brothers back in the day." Sabo answers honestly, his eyes skimming a fancy restaurant named 'Basil's Bistro' the sight seemingly causing his smile to widen. "That place is definitely new to me! Wait, they even have a fortune teller?! That's so cool!"
Sadly his smile isn't built to last, the sweet expression soon falling, only to be replaced with a much anxious appearance - his eyes looking void of emotion as they read the sign leading into the furniture shop, his mouth twitching as an uncertain grumble rumbles in his throat.
"So what's the plan?"
Sabo asking for a plan? Well, now you know he's scared.
Looks like it's time for you to take on the confident role, approaching the shop door, you realize the sign is turned to 'Closed' but you can still see Thatch inside, the brunette seemingly speaking on the phone with his back to you. Pressing your hand against the door, you attempt to open it but it would seem the man has already locked up, though the small rattle that follows the attempted entry catches Thatch's attention at least.
"W-Wait, what are you doing?!" Sabo blurts out, the boy finally cracking and showing his vulnerability, his voice is almost a squeak as he instinctively backs away from the threshold a little and helplessly watches as his eldest brother approaches, opening the door with a kind smile.
We're winging it, Sabo.
"But I don't--!"
"Miss [L/N]! How can I help you today?" The friendly brunette chimes enthusiastically, stepping aside and allowing you to enter the store despite the fact that everybody has gone home and buying things likely won't be an option right now.
Where is everybody though? It's only 2pm...
"Sorry about the poor service, Kid and Ace got into a bit of a scuffle and were sent home to cool off so I'm now trying to get Killer and Page One to come to work instead but we'll be open shortly, I promise!"
Oh, so that's what happened.
The explanation seems to calm Sabo down at least, the blonde chuckling to himself as he sits on top of Thatch's large mahogany desk, crossing his legs as he scans the store with his eyes. "Typical. I'm pretty sure I recall Ace and Kid fighting a lot back in school, courtesy of both of them being extreme hotheads."
