A familiar tune cuts into your deep slumber, your features scrunching up at the intrusive sound as you bury your face deeper into your human pillow, judging by his calm breathing - it's safe to say the noise doesn't bother him at all.
"Sabo..." You gather since he had used your phone once as it is, he could answer the call for you since you're much too tired but it would seem that he knew what you were going to ask and already has a reply to it.
"They wouldn't hear my voice as you do." He explains softly whilst still taking your phone from the beside table, though instead of answering it, he simply pokes your hand with the device and urges you to do the troublesome task yourself.
One day I'll be able to sleep without any interruptions.
Your eyes catch the time as you click to answer the cell, drawing a frown to your face as you bring the speaker up against your ear. "Hello?"
It's 7 o-clock in the goddamn morning which just so happens to be far too early for you, something that displeases you greatly and apparently, the voice on the other end of the line can pick up on that.
"Sorry to disturb you so early in the day," The voice politely chimes, admittedly you're on the verge of yelling 'not sorry enough' until the mystery person states their purpose, something that wakes you up instantly. "This is Thatch from Captain Furniture. And you are [F/n], yes?"
"Y-Yeah! Good morning, Thatch!" You don't miss how Sabo tilts his head at that, watching as you sit yourself up in bed, eagerly studying the eldest brother's every word.
"G'morning! I tried to email you the other day but it has come to my attention that you never responded, I could have just written the address down wrong so that could be my own mistake." Of course, you know he's very much not mistaken, you just hadn't had the chance to respond since you were so preoccupied with watching movies yesterday. "I'm just calling to confirm what you'd like and hopefully, we can get them delivered for you today."
Delivered? Today? Does this mean I can finally get him inside my house??
"Should I be worried that you want my brother here so badly~?" Sabo playfully chimes with a somewhat goofy grin etched into his features, the boy even leaning forward a little, seemingly trying to see if he can hear his brother's voice through the phone.
"Shh, Sabo!" You make sure to whisper as you bring the phone away from your face, attempting to go unheard by the older sibling before you respond to the patient brunette directly. "Yes, that would be amazing! I wanted the sawana sofa with a matching armchair, the colour is charcoal grey!"
For a moment Thatch says nothing, almost making you wonder if the line had gone dead before his voice suddenly booms in your ear. "Right! Excellent, yes! I will jot that down for you! A-Anything else?"
His slight change in attitude definitely throws you off quite a bit, he doesn't seem like the sort to stutter over his sentences, you can even hear him vaguely shuffling around in the background.
Is he okay?
"Is it possible that I could also request some stools for my kitchen island?" Your voice is showing clear hints of hesitation as you try to work out why the brunette is acting so strange now but ultimately, you just chalk it down to the possibility that he's probably trying to sift through paperwork during this conversation.
"Absolutely, would you be the one choosing the style or would it be this 'Sabo' gentleman? I assume you live together?" Well, there goes your entire thought process.
You hadn't realised just how well your phone's microphone can pick up sound, even whispers. The blunder only causing Sabo to burst into a fit of giggles as he carelessly presses his hand to your lower back. "Tell him it's rude to assume things from women, that'll really mess him up~!"
