"Do you think Thatch will be okay?" You quietly question the ghost as you walk along the street, making your way back to the car with Sabo in tow, the boy still absorbing the unfamiliar sights of his hometown. "Was that bridge always there?" He asks whilst pointing toward a large red bridge in the distance, seemingly made for trains, so that they can travel over the docks and to the other side of town.

But your mind is sorely focused on the eldest brother amongst all else, he very reluctantly agreed to help Sabo commune with Ace, not that you really understand why he'd hesitate to agree to such a thing in the first place - it's his dead brother's final wish after all.

But having agreed, he now wants you to wait until tomorrow, apparently he'll text you with a meet-up spot in the morning.

"He's trustworthy, don't fret." Sabo carelessly chimes, immediately stopping once again outside the florists and causing you to halt also as he beams down at the beautiful flowers on display. "Killer and Page One would've been showing up at any second for work so I get why he couldn't have us discuss everything there, besides he'll also want to prepare Ace for the whole ordeal."

Hm...true, Ace is said to have handled the death awfully, he'll probably be harder to talk around then Thatch was if I approach him the same way.

"No kidding~!" The blonde chuckles as he runs his fingers across the petals before him, though a small frown soon etches itself into his features as he trails his finger back, repeating the action again. "I'd like to think that Ace wouldn't ever harm a lady but if he thought you were trying to monopolize on the death of his brother...yeah, I don't think even he knows what he'd do in such a situation. He's a good guy but he's also fiercely loyal."

"I see...perhaps it was a good thing we ran into Thatch instead then."

"I'll say." Sabo's voice suddenly sounding a little off as he reaches for the flower, seemingly trying to grab it but his hand merely goes straight through the stem, causing his mouth to fall ajar and his eyebrows to raise. "Huh..?"

What the hell? Why is it doing that?

You can recall him touching the colourful plants on the way to the furniture store, why can't he do it now?

Even Sabo's concerns are raised, the blonde glancing at you with worried eyes as his brows knit together and his body tenses. "Petal?"

Out of pure instinct you reach out to him, immediate relief washing over you as your hand lies flat against his chest but he doesn't radiate warmth as he usually does, he actually feels rather cold.

You don't care that some people are staring at you as they pass at this point, your hand pressing firmly against Sabo's torso, you can feel his muscle and bones through his clothing when you press hard enough, as if he was really standing before you but his temperature as well as the fact that he can't seem to touch flowers concerns you greatly.

Even more so when he tries to touch your cheek but his fingers only pass through your skin.

What--?!

Your brain scrambles as a shiver racks your spine, the coldness of his touch sending a violent chill through your core, a glaring contrast to how his touch usually feels against your skin - now you know how Thatch felt but alas this is not at all good.

What should I do?

Suddenly that woman's voice rings in your head, the one you saw in the woods that day;

"If you need any assistance in the future, you know where I live."

"No." Sabo stubbornly mumbles, an irritated pout plastered across his face as you glance up at him but you're in no mood to argue and you're fully aware that he's linked to you now so he'll have no choice but to follow - unless he wants his ghost to be stuck in town alone whilst you're gathering information from Perona. "Fine...but I don't like it!" The blonde blurts with his arms folded and brows furrowed, it would seem he can still hear your thoughts so there's still that, if nothing else.

"She'll help us." You lowly mumble as you pull away from the blonde, picking up the pace as you make your way back to your car and even glaring at somebody as they smirk down at you, clearly they think you've gone mad but you couldn't care less right now.

Some of us don't have our heads up our asses and can see spirits, I'm not about to let some stranger make me feel shamed by my apparent gift.

"I like your confident side, Petal~!" Your ghostly lover chimes, though it's clear to you that he's just trying to take his thoughts off of Perona, he certainly doesn't want to see that woman again but she's the only living person you know of with any knowledge about this kind of thing - and she seems quite eager to help you so that's a bonus.

Finally reaching your car, you set a GPS to Mihawk's home. Sure you can see it from your own backyard, the man's house is massive, however you're not sure how to get there.

Apparently there's no actual road to take, you have to drive through a certain forest clearing in order to get there, hopefully your GPS will know which one.

Or so you thought, you poor sweet child.

The whole drive there consists of a sulky Sabo and a very deep pout from yourself, the GPS kept refreshing and getting confused so you had to turn it off and forge ahead without it, you remember how Thatch said Mihawk always gets annoyed if furniture wasn't delivered on time but honestly, how could he even blame them? The route to his house is ridiculously hidden.

Though with much difficulty, you finally make it.

A deep sigh pushing past your lips before you begin to exit the car, your lover very slowly following in your steps as you approach the mansion door - the style of this place looks somewhat victorian up close, the windows are huge and the décor is very dark and morbid, there's even a lot of overgrown shrubs and vines spreading across the mansion's walls.

Creepy.

"Hawk-eyes always has been." Sabo mumbles lowly, his eyes watching as you grab the door knocker, hitting it against the aged wood as loudly as you can, surely it'll have to be a powerful knock in order for it to be heard inside such a large home.

"So, what was Mihawk like when you were alive? Do you remember him?"

"Vaguely. Ace kicked a ball at his daughter once by accident...so Hawk-eyes popped the ball with a blade that was attached to his necklace."

"...Cold..." Suddenly you feel rather sweaty.

Why do they call him 'Hawk-eyes' again?
