—✧—✧—✧—✧—✧—SEVENTEEN HABITUAL ISSUES
—✧—✧—✧—✧—✧—
DELIA PULLS A FACE, eyeing her outfit carefully in the mirror. She always likes to look her best, especially when she's meeting new people. And today is no exception. Even if the person she's meeting is technically an accused murderer. Which she's actually come to not mind. Delia trusts Harry, so if he says that his godfather isn't a killer, then she believes it. Also, Delia's got the opportunity to determine it for herself when she meets him today.
(She might've mentioned this before, but her parents are lawyers. So Delia likes to think that she's got a pretty overall decent idea of what innocent versus guilty looks like.)
Thankfully, the weather has gotten warmer now (goodbye and good riddance winter!) which means it's officially the season for skirts and dresses again — so Delia smooths down the pleats of her skirt as she gives herself a final once over in the mirror. She grabs her bracelet from the stand beside her bed, and looks over the engraved D on it before quickly putting it on.
She's told Pansy that she's meeting with Harry today, but she didn't tell her what they're doing or where they're going. She's over the moon that her best friend's alright about her friendship with Harry — but Delia's not going to betray Harry's trust like that. Not when he told her about his godfather in confidence, and not when she has nothing to gain from it.
Delia grabs the jumper that she tossed on her bed earlier and puts it on. The common room's pretty much empty since everyone's either already at lunch or heading there now. And besides, the people who are still in the common room won't ask Delia any questions about where she's going.
She heads out of the castle at around one o'clock so that she can look around some of the shops and still meet Harry and the others in time. She's got some money in a small coin purse by her side — and Delia's feeling very thankful at the moment that Draco's extremely rich and gave her a shitload of money for Christmas, plus the money that Lyla and Fiona had given Delia before she went off to Hogwarts.
So as she's making her way to the end of the road, it's only natural that she's got to stop and take a look in whatever shop seems interesting enough for her to spend her money on. She ends up buying a really cute jumper with a pearl neckline, and a green dress — to really show off her Slytherin pride, and a couple of sweets, which she's eating as she spots Harry and the others along with a black dog waiting for her at the end of the lane.
She smiles at them. "Hi," she says. Delia sees the dog eyeing her bag filled with her clothes and sweets, and she clutches it tighter. "Sorry, I'm late — I saw a couple of things in the shops and I couldn't help but go in and take a look."
