—✧—✧—✧—✧—✧—FIFTEEN DOWN UNDER
(THE DEEP BLUE SEA)
—✧—✧—✧—✧—✧—
BEFORE SHE LEFT (er — was expelled) from her school, Delia liked to think of herself as the best dancer that the school had to offer. She thinks if she marched into that train-wreck of an establishment, she'd still be the best dancer that they ever had. (It's not egotistical if it's true.) Besides, she's hoping that right now her dancer's legs will come in handy. What, with all the kicking that's needed to be done during swimming. Swimming and dancing are relatively the same, right? Leg and arm work. She'll be fine. She'll be great. Or those thirteen years of dance will have been for nothing.
Before her life completely derailed, teeny tiny ten-year-old Delia had a master plan. Step one, become a world-famous dancer (Merlin knows she thought she was already halfway there). Step two, she'd be so famous and so well known that the royal family themselves would ask for a private audience with her. Step three, the royal family would be so stunned by her performance that they would immediately request that she join them for dinner. Step four, she charms them during dinner and ultimately wins everyone over. Step five, she becomes best friends with Princess Diana. Step six, she slowly starts to integrate herself into the family and makes her way into the tabloids (the press loves her by the way). Step seven, she's adopted into the royal family, and boom — she's a princess.
She doesn't know how that plan would work now, since, well, she's a witch who's competing in a deadly tournament and all that. But thinking about it always helps her relax and have a sense of normalcy. A lot of things have changed since she was ten, but something that hasn't changed is that she likes to have things planned out.
Delia wouldn't mind being best friends with Princess Diana, though.
So she's stood next to the other champions, the Black Lake looking... eerie as ever, in front of her. Going over her plan in her head. All of her plans, in her head. Of course, she had more than one backup plan during the first task because it was above ground, but she's got a couple for the underwater task too. Nothing to fret about. Nothing to worry about.
Except that Pansy's nowhere to be seen.
Delia scans the crowd once more, just to make sure that her eyes aren't playing tricks on her because there's no way that her best friend would miss this. She sees Theodore sat next to the other boys and smiles at all of them before looking over worriedly at Millicent, Tracey, and Daphne. She even looks over at where Alice and Amelia are sat by each other and wonders where Heather is too.
