Hey! So I know I said I wouldn't publish anything until it was summer vacation, but considering the fact I have two days of school left, I figured I'd get some writing/publishing done.
Currently it's 10:19pm on Saturday, June 6th.
I'm listening to Cecelia and the Satellite by Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness.
So yeah. It's been a stressful couple weeks. School is ending, and next year is my transition into high school. All my friends (including my best friends) are going to different schools. I'm excited, and I'm ready, I'm just nervous I'll drift away from my friends, too. Anyhow.
Umm....yeah. Cute things happen in this chapter, and y'all might be thinking "yo the story just started" but let's be real here life moves quickly
So yeah um I hope you like it. I'm loving it so far.
Qotd: favorite baseball team & players?
aotd: RED SOX AF and Xander Bogaerts, Joe Kelly, and Eduardo Rodriguez 😌💕K so I hope you enjoy!
*********************************"Oh my gosh, she totally should have gone with the second dress!" Hazel exclaimed. Jimmy laughed.
"Are you serious? That dress obviously looks so much better on her. It totally flatters her figure," Jimmy scoffed. Hazel laughed, shoving her best friend's shoulder.
"Jimmy, you're way too in touch with your feminine side," she giggled.
"Am not!" he protested. She laughed again and put her head on his shoulder playfully. "And if I am, Haz, it's your fault."
This feels so right, Jimmy practically buzzed.
"You're a loser, Garoppolo, but you're my loser," she told him.
"As long as I'm your something," he nodded satisfactorily. His brilliant smile was contagious, and soon Hazel was smiling, too. "So speaking of weddings and dresses, ya know Matty?"
"Slater?" she asked.
"Slater," he confirmed.
"Well of course I know him. Why?" she asked him. "What's up with Matty?"
"Well you know how he's been dating that girl, Shahrzad?" She nodded. "Yeah, well, they're getting married. I meant to tell you."
"Oh, really?" she said, surprised.
Just like him not to tell me, she thought. It's like having a husband.
"Yeah," he grinned. "Matty brought it up today at practice. It's adorable how excited he's getting about it. It reminded me to tell you."
"Well when's the wedding?" Hazel asked.
"Haha, yeah, like I said, I meant to tell you," Jimmy laughed, scratching the back of his head.
"James," she said sternly, "when's the wedding?"
"Um, it's kinda on Saturday."
"Saturday?!" she exclaimed. Of course. Of course he didn't tell her. "They're getting married on Saturday? SATURDAY OF WHEN?!"
"Saturday, March 14th," Jimmy said, grinning and scratching the back of his head.
"Jimmy, that's like a month away!" she exclaimed. He grinned again. "And what kind of ceremony is it?"
"Black tie," Jimmy shrugged nonchalantly.
"James!" Hazel groaned. "I don't even have a dress!"
