by the time you made it to the small town it was already pretty late. the town was lit up by street lamps and candles. it wasn't very lively, most places had a few people in them , but nothing like what you guys were used to.
"it's kinda late, do you wanna sleep and then check things out tomorrow?" shisui asked looking down at you.
"uhm sure, but where are we even staying?" you ask as you sit on a nearby bench.
"there should be an inn somewhere close by" shisui says sitting next to you
your stomach made a growling noise to notify you that you were hungry
"i didn't even notice how hungry i was" you say clenching you stomach
"me either." shisui says "let's grab somthing to eat and then find an inn to sleep at"
you both get up and walk around the peaceful town until you find a ramen shop.
"ooo, ramen sounds good" you say bug eyed at shisui
"ramen?" he says looking at you "we're in a new place and you want ramen?"
"well what do you want?" you say putting your hands on your hips and turning to face him
"what about... sushi?" he says curing his bottom lip
"won't that be super expensive?" you say grabbing your wallet
"hey, hey" he grabs you wallet out of your hand " it's our honeymoon remember. i'm buying so don't worry about it" he put your wallet on his pocket and wrapped one of his arms over you so it sat comfortably in your shoulder.
"shisui!!" you giggled as you both started walking to the sushi restaurant.
once you arrived you sat at an empty table and waited for someone to come and take your order.
"maybe we could ask the waiter if they know of a good place to sleep at." you say opening up the menu
"when they come over i'll ask" shisui replies as he also looks at the menu
a girl in all black came up to us with her hair tied up into a bun "hi what can i get you two today!" the waiter asks.
you both order your dinner and before the waiter leaves shisui asks if she knew of any good inns or hotels around here.
"depending on the occasion I can suggest the perfect place, there are many beautiful hotels" she says grabbing both menus from him.
"well, it's our honeymoon" shisui says shyly. you blush and twiddle your hands
"oh my! congratulations! you two are such a beautiful couple" she says overly excited
you both giggle "thank you"
"once your done eating, if you take a left at the corner street just a little whiles down that road you will come across a wonderful hotel!" she winks at you and walks back into the kitchen
"guess we'll go there afterwards" shisui says to you
"sounds good to me, i'm exhausted" you place your hand on your cheek to support you head.
*time passes*
as you at your dinner you remembered that you haven't talked to kakashi since this morning and you wanted to call him.
"i think i'm ready to go" you say to shisui as he sipped his water. he had finished a while before you but sat there without complaints waiting.
"are you sure? there's no rush, you can finish" he says setting his drink down
"i'll just take it to go"
"okay i'll meet you outside and then we can head over to the hotel."
"okay" you smile at him and sit up to walk outside.
once you got outside there was a cold breeze and you felt your body shiver. you sat on the bench outside the restaurant curled up and waited for shisui.
he came out holding a bag. "are you cold, here take this" he set the bag of food next to you and took off his jacket
"oh it's okay we-" before you could finish he wrapped it around you and held you close to him to keep you warm. "thank you"
"i have a suprise" he says squeezing you as he picked up the food and you walked to the hotel
"what is it?" you ask excitedly
"well, as i was walking out, the waiter grabbed me and handed me a slice of cake to go. she said it was a wedding gift." he smiled at you and wiggled his eyebrows "and it's double chocolate, your favorite" he opend his mouth with and excited smile
"that sounds so good shisui!! thank you!" you hug him tightly. his warm body felt so comfortable in the cold. you didn't want to let go but you did.
"i think we will have to bust into it once we get to the hotel"
"i think we will!" you say clapping your hands together.
