torn inbetween (shisui x reader x kakashi )

one year older

the six of you all gathered at the breakfast table to eat. usually it was just the four of you, you, shisui, itachi, and sasuke, but the table had room for 6. 3 on each side. the four of you already had 'designated seats'.

shisui would sit at the end of one side and you next to him and itachi at the end of the other, sasuke next to him. it was like this because when we were younger sasuke would only sit next to itachi, and shisui would always end up sitting across from itachi.

so today kakashi sat next to you. making you in the middle of him and shisui. and sasuke sat in the middle between itachi and naruto.

together you all enjoyed a delicious home cooked breakfast. at one moment every one except you was taking over at kakashi as he bit into his fork and with a mouth full of pancake he looked up and started to get red.

"kakashi sensei!" naruto blurted out "your not wearing your mask!"

he shyly pulled his mask back up "well naruto, i can't eat if it's covering my mouth"

you lightly kicked shisui and itachi under the table and the quickly broke there gaze on him.

"sakura is going to be so mad when she finds out we saw his face" naruto says looking over at sasuke who seemed like the only one other then you who wasn't fazed by this.

"who cares" he says grabbing another bit of food.

as everyone slowly started to finish up breakfast itachi, shisui, and kakashi cleared the table. you and naruto were in deep conversation while sasuke sat listening.

out of the corner of your eyes you saw itachi try to make small talk with kakashi in attempt to get closer to him for your sake. slowly shisui joined in.

they seemed awkward but there attempt at being friends with him warmed your heart.

eventually the three of them laughed and started to head back to the table

kakashi planted a small kiss on your forehead "i'm going to run a couple errands, i'll be back tonight" and waved by to everyone before leaving the house. 

as the day went on you all played games and hung out.

naruto and sasuke teamed together and you and itachi teamed together leaving shisui as the dealer.

although naruto and sasuke make a great team, nothing companies to you and itachi joining forces. it didn't happen often but when it did, you guys never lost a game.

the sun started to set and kakashi knocked on the door. shisui got up to let him in. kakashi had a small bag in his hand but set it down not mentioning.

"finally" sasuke groaned out

"what" we all looked over to him

"now that your here u can be y/n s partner and her and itachi will stop cheating" sasuke rolled his eyes and naruto giggled softly

"oh we never cheat" you argue back at him

"we're just that good sasuke" itachi says while sitting up from his seat. " i was thinking we should all go to dinner tonight, somewhere nice for a change " itachi suggested to everyone.

"i think that's a great idea" shisui said grabbing his jacket off the couch

naruto stood there uncomfortably for a moment. but didn't say anything. kakashi set his hand on his head and moved narutos hair all around.

naruto looked up at him with a big smile. "don't worry about it" kakashi said softly to him referring to how kakashi would pay for narutos dinner.

"i'm going to go grab my purse and fix my hair and then i'll be ready" you say walking back to your bedroom.

kakashi followed behind you after grabbing his bag off the table.

as you fixed your hair in the mirror he walked in. "so what took you so long" you teased him

he got shy and set the bag down on ur dresser. "it was more trouble to get my hands on then i initially thought" he giggled.

you we're excited to open it but wanted to come off cool and collected so you eyed him asking for permission.

"go ahead" he smiled under his mask

you opened the bag and inside was a new volume of icha icha paradise you had never seen before. your eyes glew up at the image.

"kakashi!! how!" you were amazed as you opend up the front cover

"jariyah is an old friend of mine" he says looking into the book with you. "i haven't even read this one yet"

you gave him a tight hug before you continued to look through the pages.

"i remembered that first night you told me it was your favorite series" he put his hand to his neck and began to get shy again

"thank you kashi, i love it!" you lowered his mask and gave him a quick peck before finishing your hair.

you both walked out of your bedroom, you hand in his and went to dinner.

the waiter sat you all down , this time you were in between itachi and kakashi.

itachi and shisui talked through the entire time you all waited on your food to come.

itachi got a sudden call as soon as the food arrived.

"hello".... "what!" .... "i'm coming right now" there was pure concern and heartbreak in his voice

we all looked at him for a answer.

"y/n, i'm sorry i have to go. i love you , happy birthday" he kissed you on your head and hugged you goodbye.

he walked out so fast , no one else could even say there goodbyes.

"i wonder what happen" you say looking towards shisui.

"i'm not sure" he said worried for his friend.

the rest of the dinner was enjoyed and naruto was sure to make the employees sing you happy birthday before you all left.

kakashi paid for everyone's dinner, but shisui wouldn't accept and paid for his own, but thanked him for the offer.

you all walked out of the restaurant mid conversation.

"alright well i'm going to go ahead and take home naruto". kakashi said placing his hand on narutos shoulder

"okay, i'll see you tomorrow" you say kissing him goodbye.  and the two of them walked off in opposite directions of you sasuke and shisui.

"so when can i start that training?" you eye shisui

he glares and smirked over at you. "i suppose whenever your ready"

"how about right now?" you say hopeful that he's comply

he thought  about it for a moment " really it's the middle of the night"

"oh come on pleasseee , it's my birthday after all" you give him puppy eyes while grabbing ahold of his hands

he rolled his eyes at you "oh fine"

you jumped in excitement which brought a smile to his face.
