torn inbetween (shisui x reader x kakashi )

you woke to the sound of shisuis phone ringing.

you were wrapped in his arms under the warm hotel comforter. his warm bare chest against your check was soothing as you could hear his heart beat.

"don't answer it" you mumble in a sleepy voice as you bring your arm onto his stomach. his toned abs under your fingertips.

his arm that was once wrapped around you, holding you close to him disappeared as he grabbed his phone off the night stand.

"it's itachi" he says. his voice deep and raspy from just waking up.

"ignore him" you say annoyed at the sound of the ringing

he chuckled at your reaction and slowly lifted himself out of bed.

"itachi? what's up" ...."what?"...."hold on i can't hear you" shisui says into the phone as he walks out into the hallway.

you were left alone in the bed and you felt an overwhelming feeling of loneliness over come you and you longed for shisui to come back and hold you in his arms for the rest of the morning.

"itachi?" shisui said out in the hall

"can you hear me shisui?" itachi said in the other end

"okay yeah now i can, sorry bad reception in the hotel room. what's up?"

"i just wanted to check in, i thought you guys would be back before me"

"we're coming back this afternoon."

"how was it?"

"kind of a bust. we didn't get any new leads or find the guy"

"what guy?" itachi asked confused

"ohh, there was someone robbing the townspeople but that's the only information we got"

"the village south of us?" itachi asked

"yeah"

"bro they found that guy like two days ago"

"what!?"

"yeah, tsunade didn't tell you guys?"

"no, we haven't heard a thing from anyone this whole trip"

itachi laughed on the other end and shisui joined

"so it was just the two of you .... all alone, for 3 nights?" itachi said tauntingly

"yeahhhh" shisui said blushing

"mmhm"

"would you like to talk to her?" shisui asked trying to avoid the question coming next. sasuke was saying something in the background.

"no, just tell her we say hi, i have to go help sasuke. i'll see you tonight"

"see you tonight" shisui said as he hung up the call and walked back in

"what'd he want" you asked as shisui laid back down in bed and opened his arm for you to come in closer

"nothing really, but apparently they found the guy we were supposed to be spying on"

"oh that's good" you say as you cuddle your cheek into his shoulder.

"yeah so we can head back whenever" he says brushing a piece of hair behind your ear.

"mmhmm, 10 more minutes" you say closing your eyes and wrapping yourself into him.
