torn inbetween (shisui x reader x kakashi )

birthday girl

tonight you had dinner plans with kakashi. he was going to be coming over to your house because itachi said he wouldn't be home and you didn't want to leave sasuke alone since he was for so long already.

you were in the kitchen preparing dinner when sasuke, naruto, and kakashi walked in the front door.

"oh, hi guys" you said slightly confused at why everyone had shown up at the same time.

"naruto and i are going to practice our training kakashi sensei taught us today!" sauske said as he and naruto ran back outside the front door.

"oh, okay!" you say as sasuke slammed the door

"mmmm, smells good" kakashi says coming up from behind to hug you and place a small kiss on your cheek.

you smiled warmly and leaned your head against his body. "why'd you all come together?" you asked stirring the food you were making.

"well actually, sasuke asked me if i wanted to come back with him. i guess he noticed we had been spending a lot more time together reasontly"

"that was nice of him, and naruto?"

"i think he thought we were doing some secret training without him and wanted to come along"

you giggled and kakashi let go of you to help you finish making dinner. he grabbed the plates and forks as you served up the food. you cracked open the front door to tell naruto and sasuke to come eat but they just ignored you.

you and kakashi grabbed your food and sat next to each other on the couch. you ate while watching a new movie that came out that you both were super excited to see.

you heard loud muffled voices outside and then the front door opened.

"i'm so sorry big brother shisui" sasuke said

"it's okay sasuke, i'll just borrow itachis shirt" shisui said as he walked inside. there was a large burned hole in his shirt.

"what happened!?" you said getting up from your spot on the couch

"sauske was practicing fire ball jitsu and got his aim a little wrong" he laughed while taking off his burned shirt and throwing it into the trash. "where's itachi?"

"he's not home, he said you were meeting him there. did sasuke get your skin?" you ask concerned looking at his stomach

"no it's fine, i'm just going to grab one of his shirts and head out." he said while walking backwards down the hall

"you have one laying on my bed still, just take that" you call out while sitting back down on the couch.

you cuddled into kakashis arm and he kissed you on top of your head. "why's his shirt on your bed?" he asked casually

"oh i accidentally took it when we went on that mission and kept forgetting to give it back"

"ohhh" he said as he laid his head on yours

shisui walked back out from your room "so what are we going to be doing tomorrow?" he asked grabbing something from the fridge.

"shisui" you said stirn and turned around to glare at him

"ohh, hi kakashi" he said nervously. kakashi turned around and gave him a small smile and wave. "hi shisui" his voice was deep

"i'm gonna go meet up with itachi now" shisui said taking a bite of food left in the pan

"can you take sasuke and naruto there food please" you asked with puppy eyes

"of course" he said with his mouth full, grabbing the plates and walking out the door.

you settled back into kakashis arms and watched your movie

"what's tomorrow?" kakashi asked breaking you out of your focus on the movie

"oh uhm. it's.... my birthday" you said embarrassed shoving your face into him

"y/n!! why didn't you tell me sooner?" he said excitedly picking your face up from off him and holding it in his hands to look at you

"i don't know, i was embarrassed" you say avoiding eye contact. "usually it's just me, itachi, sasuke, and shisui. nothing special"

"well, how about we add one more person to that list?" he asked softly

you smiled big and nodded your head yes. he kissed you on your lips and gently let go of your head. you snuggled up with him placing your head on his chest. he took his hand to move a piece of hair behind your ear. 

by the time you guys finished your movie it was almost 11.

"can we make cupcakes?" kakashi asked out of the blue.

"uhm, yes but we only have half a box of mix left." you say as you get up from the couch to check

"that's fine" he says smiling.

together you gathered the ingredients to make the cupcakes. kakashi was mixing the batter together as you pre heated the oven. you walked back over to him and he lifted the spoon out from the batter.

"this is my favorite part" he said holding the spoon over your mouth and cupping his hand under so it wouldn't drip

you took licked the batter off and he lowered his mask and followed slowly after. "mmmmm" you both say at the same time and he plants a kiss on your lips.

you put the cupcakes in the oven and while they cooked you both went to check on naruto and sasuke outside.

they had both passed out under a tree from there extensive training.

"let's grab a blanket for them" kakashi whispers to you

you both go inside and grab a large blanket and cover them both up.

when you came back inside the oven was beeping to notify that the cupcakes had finished baking. you frosted two of them and you were working on the third before kakashi picked it up and searched the decorations drawer. he pulled out a candle and lighter.

"what's this" you ask holding the unfrosted cupcake in your hand.

"just oneeee second" he said eyeing the clock behind you and you realized what he was doing. "happy birthday!" he said softly smiling at you holding the lit cupcake closer to you.

"kakashi" you softly say back as your eyes started to water.

"come on, blow them out!"

you blew out the candle and went in to give him a big cozy hug. you felt your eyes flow over with tears and he set the cupcake on the counter and held you tightly in his arms.

you stood there for a moment and then slowly lifted your head from him.

"awhh" he said frowning his face and whipping under your eyes with his thumbs. "y/n, don't cry. it's your birthday" his words were soft

"i just..." you looked at him with an adored expression. "thank you"

he gave you a big kiss while lifting you up and spinning you around before letting go.

"let's eat dessert!" he said wiggling his eyebrows up and down

"i think i want a different, birthday dessert" you say bitting your lip and looking up at him.

"ohhh, is that right" he said pulling you closer to him. "well if the birthday girl wants it, she will get it." as he swiftly picked you up, you wrapping your legs around his waist and brought you to your room, closing the door with his foot.
