Clarus

He was ignoring me and I wasn't having it. I could handle him being busy, but when he wasn't doing anything and came up with stupid excuses to get away from me, I became furious.

"What gives?" I asked as I trapped him in his office.

"I have no idea what you are-"

"Cut the crap! You're ignoring me!"

He looked away and I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Clarus, I don't know what it is we have, if it is anything, but I don't deserve to be treated like I'm nothing." I said softly.

He looked back at me and I let out a sigh.

"Look if you don't want to be with me then that's fine.... I will understand... just don't lead me on. Break it off and stop hurting me." I said as I tried to hold back tears.

"Do you think it would be so easy for me to forget you?" He asked calmly.

"What?"

"I was trying to figure out something.... I was trying to see... if I were to have to let you go, if I could."

I watched him as he stood up and walked up to me.

"And I found that... letting you go was easy. It was easy for me to go about my day as if you didn't exist."

"Oh."

"But in the end of the day.... when I was alone... it hurt... because all I thought about was you. All I craved was you." He said as he gently caressed my cheek.

"Clarus..." I whispered as I leaned into his touch.

"I realized that... I don't want to be without you." He said as he sent me a small smile.

He pulled a small box out of his pocket and my eyes went wide.

"So will you do me the honor... and marry me?" He asked as he got down on one knee.

I quickly tackled him to the ground and pulled him into a deep and passionate kiss.
