I covered my mouth as I walked onto the scene that almost looked like a sack of flour had been murdered in my kitchen.

"(Y/n), you're not suppose to be home... until 5." Regis said as he looked at me shocked.

"Momma!" Noctis exclaimed as he ran up and hugged me.

I picked him up and shook my head.

"Darling, it's 5:30." I said softly.

"Crap, I was hoping to surprise you." He said with a laugh.

"Surprise me? I'm not missing an anniversary am I?" I asked as I went to the calendar.

"Darling, it's your birthday." He said with a laugh.

"I must of been so caught up in work I forgot." I said with a laugh.

He shook his head and sent me a smile.

"Noctis, how about you go get cleaned up." I said as I set him down.

He nodded his head and took off running, straight the the bathroom. I turned to look back at my husband and whipped some flour off his lips before leaning forward and gently kissing him.

"Happy birthday love." He said softly.

"I love you." I said as I gently hugged him.

"And I love you." He said as he kissed my forehead.
