I heard her sigh before she mumbled some backwards words, a light illuminating from the pendant on her chest. The light revealed both of us, standing right before each other maybe a foot between us. We found ourselves looking at each other for a minute or so before both being interrupted,

"Robin, Zara, are you both okay?" Artemis asked through the thick wood door keeping Zara and I apart from the team,

"Yeah, we're okay, but we're not going to be able to get out of here, you guys are just going to have to find Klarion without us." I  informed them with my level headed calmness. All while Zara began looking about the room, a simple study, nothing to special various stones, journals, scribbled notes, and crystals the usual for a witch boy,

"Okay, stay safe." Artemis took a deep breath before her and the team carried on, "We'll get you out of there as soon as possible."

After they were gone I turned to look around with Zara who was at the desk looking at Klarion's papers,

"Find anything riveting?" I asked, my voice filled with plain sarcasm,

"Actually, Yeah, It says here, there's a way to get out of this room, like a pattern or something." She said tracing her finger across the old ink. My eyes traced up her arm to her soft curls laying on her shoulders then to her masked eyes,

"And..."

"...And, I'm not sure..." She stared at the writing becoming more and more confused, "Klarion isn't too good at handwriting." She snickered before lifting her face to me. I took this as a moment to figure out the puzzle with deduction. My eyes caught the colored crystals reacting to her light pendant. I traced it to places in the room where the crystals went then to the papers that had clues that pointed to a spot on the ground straight across from the door. I could see the crystals on shelves, hanging on pendants, and sitting around in a pattern down from the spot on the floor then one crystal in the keyhole of the door.

Zatanna's POV

For about thirty seconds Robin had been pacing and looking around, not saying a word which I was not complaining, but I do like to know what's going on. He finally stepped on this spot on the floor then took a look at the door,
"Um, Robin...what are you doing?" I asked when his gloved hand wrapped around my wrist pulled me from behind the desk. I gasped as he pulled me over to the spot. He stood behind me positioning my stance in a certain way,

"Make your pendant shine a beam at that." He commanded pointing at a red crystal on a nearby shelf,

"Why don't you tell me what it is we are doin-." I argued as he hushed me and pointed me to the red crystal again,

"Just do it." his tone was so deep and he was so focused that it sent a shiver down my spine,

"Okay." I huffed under my breath feeling his hands on my sides directing me. The light sent out of the pendant hitting the red one then to the blue and back and fourth across various crystals all the way down to the green one in the keyhole of the door. The beam of light then soaked into the crystal before we heard a click, unlocking the magic door.

I was first to celebrate as I turned around and for a second put my arms around him before turning around and cheering all the way up to the door while he followed, a little surprised I hugged him, I'm full of surprises.

He and I left the door with big smiles on our faces that we overcame the challenge. It quickly melted to one of determination though as we began to rush through the house, we were going to find Klarion and we were going to get out of this haunted house.

Reaching the top of the tower after fifteen minutes of trying to figure out this nightmare place we entered the highest room immediately finding Klarion sitting there with his ugly orange cat and him and his little suit and horns,
