(Zatanna’s pov)

A silent plea from under a gag. I was tied up hanging by my wirts from the ceiling of a room on the top floor of the plaza where the ball was being held. What was also being held was a knife by none other than my leg, Cheshire twisted it making me cry out only the gag got in the way of me actually making words, no, only sounds. All I could hope for was my worst enemy, my worst hero enemy, to rush through the door and save me, but that would also be the absolute worst thing because I doubt I’d ever hear the end of it. It was all my fault, how could I be so stupid and despreate to prove myself to the most annoying vigualantie ever. I shouldn’t even care what he thinks, though right about now, he seems pretty right about me being an inexperienced and sucky hero. I was just beaten up by a girl who thinks green’s in and wears too much perfume,

“I’m bored, where are the real heroes?” Cheshire sneered,

“Right here, Chesh.” A voice called out as she turned to the door to see none other than Robin standing there,

“Boy wonder! I’m happy to see you. I knew you couldn’t have sent one pathetic excuse of a side kick to try and stop my mission.” She laughed,

“Leave her alone.” He raised his fists as Chesire rushed at him he immediately caught her off guard with a left hook almost knocking her off her feet,

“My, my, how you’ve changed since you were just a little kid. Does the old bat know you fight your enemies like you're in a bar fight?”

“Does daddy know you left the house with that ugly green dress on?” He retorted before they began an all out fight. Back and forth, both taking quite the beating, I had to look away a few times, especially when Robin took her by the hair and began slamming her head onto a dresser repeatedly, or when she kneed him in the gut then the nose.

Cheshire must have had enough of the fight that seemed to go on forever, both extremely beaten and tired at this point when she threw a knife to cut the rope that held me off the ground. I fell to the floor with a loud cry gaining Robin’s attention, as he reached out for me distractedly, I saw her knife peirce past his ribs into his side. He screamed out before falling to his knees. Her fingers intertwined with his hair to lift his head before launching her knee into it knocking him over.

Cheshire assumed a position straddling Robin as she began choking him with both her hands around his throat and her shins pinning his wrists. With a quick and unnoticed flick of the hand Robin tossed a birderage over toward me that I used to free myself from my tied hands before pulling my gag off. I quickly had to get Chesire off Robin or she might kill him, would kill him. I tackle her off him before raining down punches on her without relent. I then used my powers to cast a spell that bound her with the ropes she had bound me with.

Once she was down I quickly slid to Robin’s side. I shook his form as he gasped suddenly before taking breaths again. He sat up in pain from his side along with ragged breaths sweat lacing his brow. All I could do was hold him tight,

“I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry, I’m-” I repeated until Wally and Artemis busted through the door before quickly examining the scene,

“Are you both alright?” Artemis asked as I nodded so did Robin,

“Great, next time, Rob, warn me before you’re going to accuse me of groping you, okay? I almost didn’t get away.” Wally crossed his arms with a frustrated glare before sighing being ultimately relieved the whole thing was over.

We were brought to the mountain. I watched as Artemis brought a very weak and tired Robin towards the med bay, sitting him down and she wanted to remove Robin’s button up but he pushed her away. Getting up and quickly Zeta-ing away. Wally began patching up my leg and scoffing at Robin,
