Siyeon pov
Not long after my parents left Minji and Yoohyeon knocked on my door.
"Come in."
The door opened and Yoohyeon ran inside. She stopped at the edge of my bed and bent down to hug me. I smiled and hugged her back. After a few seconds she pulled away and hit my arm.
"HOW DARE YOU DO THAT TO ME, I WAS SO WORRIED."
Minji had come inside as well and closed the door behind her.
"We babe, we. We were both worried."
She corrected her while walking up and standing next to Yoohyeon.
I rubbed my arm and started laughing.
"Glad to see you missed me. And I'm ok, thanks for asking." I said in a sarcastic tone.
We talked for a bit, but after a while my thoughts started to wonder back to the girl. I still didn't know whether I had hallucinated or not.
"Oh by the way, while you guys were on you way here. Did you see anyone from school?"
"Yeah now that you're talking about it. We passed a girl who looked familiar in the hall on our way here. Why? Who is she? Do you know her?"
"I think I saw her here earlier, but she didn't come in. If I remember well, she's the one who was in the restroom when I passed out."
I took a deep breath and came up with an idea.
"Can you do something for me?"
"Yeah of course, what do you want us to do?"
"Try to find and thank her for me please. "
"We'll try our best." Yoohyeon said with a smile on her face.
We talked for a bit after. They told me about what I had missed at school, about all the people that were worried. They made it sound like everyone cared, but I knew better. The only ones who ever really cared were Minji and Yoohyeon. If anyone else cared, they would be there to visit her. Then the question came that I tried so hard to avoid. I knew it was going to come, but I had tried desperately to avoid it.
"So...what happened?" Yoohyeon asked.
"I fainted, because of lack of nutrients. I forgot to eat this morning, nothing to worry about. I just have to make sure to wake up a little earlier and eat something before I go to school from now on."
"Are you sure there's nothing else?" Minji asked with a worried look on her face.
"Yep, nothing else."
"Ok..." She replied hesitantly, knowing I probably wouldn't tell her if something was wrong.
"If you guys don't mind I would like to get some sleep. I'm pretty tired and I want to be rested when I get home tomorrow."
Home, the word tasted bitter in my mouth. I couldn't even call that place home. It was a bunch of bricks that kept me warm and dry, nothing more. That place hadn't felt like home in years...if it ever even did in the first place.
"Ok, well then we'll see you tomorrow. We will pop by after school to come check on you."
"You don't have to do that. I'm going to come back to school in the afternoon tomorrow."
"Are you sure you feel good enough for that? You still look sick Siyeon."
"You two can stop worrying." I said with a soft smile, trying to make it seem as if it was all their heads. "I really am feeling ok."
Minji smiled back, "See you tomorrow then".
They got up from the chairs that they had placed next to my bed. They put them back in their original spot and headed to the door. Before they walked out they looked back, smiled and waved me goodbye. I saw their fingers intertwine as they walked out and closed the door behind them.
I was finally alone again. As much as I liked being around them, I needed to be alone for a bit. I needed to sort my thoughts out. I laid back down on the bed and stared at the ceiling, revisiting today's events. I thought back to the girl once again. If it really had been her that had come to visit me, I wondered why she hadn't walked in. I quickly came back to my senses.
"Get yourself together Siyeon."
But it didn't take long before my thoughts wondered to her once again. After a while I dozed off into a restless sleep, my mind still filled with questions.
Sua pov
Due to my detour, it was already late when I came home. I went inside and took of my shoes. My mom and dad were sitting in the couch in front of the tv. Neither of them looked up when they heard me come inside.
"There's leftovers in the fridge if you want food", was all my mom said, not once taking her gaze off of the tv.
"Mhh"
I walked to the kitchen and opened the fridge. I picked up the bowl and placed it in the microwave. Once the food was heated I took the bowl with me to my room. My room was pretty basic. My bed was right across from the door and my desk was right next to it. On the other side of the room I had a small closet which contained mostly sweaters.
I sat down on my bed and plugged my phone in. I put some music on and ate while I looked outside my window. I started thinking about everything that happened today. There was no way Siyeon was actually looking at me in the cafeteria, she had probably just been staring into nothingness. I thought back to the restroom. I wondered why she had fainted, hoping that it was nothing serious and that she was ok. I remembered the look on her face while her parents were in her room at the hospital. She had looked so sad, so scared. I wondered how she was feeling now.
I finished my food and went downstairs to put the dirty bowl in . I went back upstairs and decided to watch a movie. I scrolled down the movie tittles until I saw one that didn't seem too bad. Not very interesting either, but it was the best I could find. I didn't feel like paying much attention to the movie either way. Once I saw the credits pop up on the screen I turned and looked at my clock. 2am, I guess I wasn't going to get much sleep that night either. I laid down and put my phone on my nightstand. After a solid half an hour of holding a staring contest with my ceiling, I decided to listen to some music. I took my earphones and plugged them in. I put some music on and after a while I finally started to feel sleepy.
