3rd person pov
*one week later*
Bora walked outside and sat down on the doorstep. She had been nervous about going back to school for days, not knowing what would happen once she came back. Siyeon had proposed to walk her to school and she was on her way. Bora took out her phone from her pocked to check the time. 7:18 the screen read. She still had more than an hour till class started. She turned off her screen and pocked her phone again.
"Siyeon will be here in a few minutes" she thought. "Siyeon...damn Siyeon..."
Ever since that night where she had been taken to the hospital, she felt like her and Siyeon were even closer than before. Siyeon wouldn't go to sleep or wake up without checking in on her, she wouldn't let her go anywhere without going with her....she wouldn't give up looking for who did this. Sure it might seem like it was unnecessary, but for Bora it felt like she really truly cared about giving her closure about this. She had found a place to belong with Siyeon and the others. She couldn't ask for anything more...well she could. There was one thing she wanted, but know she couldn't and shouldn't get....Siyeon. When she was around Siyeon everything made sense, felt complete. But she knew that Siyeon probably didn't feel the same for her. Siyeon had Dongmin, and they seemed happy together. Bora wasn't the person to get between that.
She looked up and saw a bus in the distance. She stood up and walked towards the fence. Siyeon walked out of the bus and towards her. Bora turned around to close the small gate behind her and when she turned back Siyeon flung around her and pulled her into a tight hug.
"Didn't we see each other yesterday" Bora snickered.
"Yes....but I still missed you. You're fun to annoy you know"
Bora broke the hug and poked her side. They both broke down into laughter and started to walk.
"Are you nervous to go back?"
"A little yeah, but I have all of you so Ill survive" Siyeon smiled, causing Bora's heart to melt in the blink of an eye.
Siyeon softly brushed her hand against Bora's and intertwined their fingers.
"Taking her hand would be something normal to do right?" Bora thought to herself. "Everyone does it, there's nothing wrong with it."
She gave Bora's hand a small squeeze and looked at her with a smile, trying to comfort her. It made Bora's heart flutter in her chest. They continued most of their walk in a calming silence, comforted by each other's presence.
They were about to each school when Dongmin came from behind the corner. From the moment he saw them something inside of him snapped, like the final push for him to go crazy. 'How dare she', he thought. 'Siyeon is my girlfriend. And yet she always chooses her over me.' He felt his anger grow with every passing second, causing them to feel like an eternity. They were holding hands and laughing, both enjoying each other's company.
!!*trigger warning*!!
(extreme violence)
That was it for Dongmin. His final string of calmness broke and he walked up to them. Anger fueling every step he took.
"Dongmin? What are you doi-"
He pushed Siyeon against the wall, holding her by her neck. Slightly choking her. He slapped her in her face and a single tear rolled down her cheek at the sudden pain.
"DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I DID FOR YOU?? HOW MUCH IT TOOK ME TO ALWAYS STAY WITH YOU??"
Siyeon's eyes were wide in fear. She didn't know what was happening, she didn't know what to do. She was just stunned, too scared to move.
"YOU KNOW, NO ONE COULD EVER LOVE YOU. THOSE GIRLS WHO TALKING SHIT ABOUT YOU AS A KID WERE RIGHT. YOU'RE JUST A USELESS BRAT WHO GETS EVERYTHING THEY WANT."
Tears kept coming from Siyeon's eyes, but they were no longer from pain.
"YOU KNOW, I DON'T EVEN FEEL BAD FOR DRUGGING SUA. SHE DESERVED IT. SHE SHOULD'VE KEPT HER HANDS AWAY FROM WHATS MINE."
Bora got snapped out of her trance.
"It was Dongmin who did it?"
She didn't know what to do, but she was sure of one thing, she wouldn't let someone she cared about get hurt by the same person that hurt her. She saw a brick on the floor and picked it up. Dongmin was still yelling at Siyeon and didn't see her walking up behind him. From there things went by in a flash. She hit him with the brick and he soon dropped on the floor, hands on his head as he screamed out in pain. Bora grabbed Siyeon's hand a started pulling her away. Siyeon was frozen on the spot, but let herself be pulled away.
"We need a place to hide, a place where he can't come for us."
Bora thought while running towards the school. Suddenly it hit her, the women's restroom. He wouldn't find them in there. She continued to run to the restroom, Siyeon lagging behind her. Then went inside and she closed the door behind them. Siyeon let herself slid down a wall and pulled her knees to her chest. Her neck and face were red and bruises were already forming, but that's not why she started crying.
"How could I have been so stupid...so blind..."
Dongmin's words lingered in her mind. He was the one who drugged Bora...and she didn't notice a single thing. All of this could've been prevented if she had given more attention to him instead of Bora. She buried her face in her knees and allowed the tears to fully flow down. Bora walked up to her and sat down in front of her. She slowly tilted Siyeon's head upwards and looked her in the eyes. It hurt her to see Siyeon like this. She gently cupped her face with her hands and softly stroked the bruised cheek with her thumb. She leaned forward and wrapped her arms around Siyeon. They stayed like that until Siyeon's sobs broke down into soft whimpers. After a while Bora texted the others to come meet them in the restroom. It didn't take long until everyone was there. Bora explained what had happened, never once letting go of Siyeon. Her hands making comforting movements on her back.
"Wait so your telling me that he not only did that to Siyeon but he also drugged you??" Minji said, the tone in her voice getting more and more angry.
"Mhmm"
Minji turned around and bursts out of the restroom, determined to find Dongmin.
Gahyeon got on her knees next to Bora and Siyeon. she wrapped her arms around Siyeon, who started crying again in response. Handong, Yubin and Yoohyeon soon followed her example. They all stayed like that for a while, not only comforting Siyeon and Bora, but all of them.
