Siyeon pov
We quickly found Kwang-Sun, he was in the library. It seemed impossible for someone like him to do anything bad, but you never know. I walked up to him and sat down at the seat across from him. He looked up and saw me, he gave me a confused look and wanted to go back to his book when he noticed the others standing around him.
"Kwang-Sun?"
"Yeah...that's me." He replied in a confused tone.
"You were at the party this weekend right?"
"Yeah I was, but I left early. Parties aren't really my thing."
I mean it made sense, he didn't exactly look like the partying type. But I had to know for sure.
"Do you have any proof of that?"
"I might have some texts with my mom, if that would help."
He took his phone out of his backpack and started scrolling. After a while he handed it to me. I took it and started to read the texts.
"10:24
Mom: When will you be home?
Me: I'm on my way home right now.
Me: It wasn't very interesting there, only drunk kids.
Mom: You sure you don't want to stay out a little longer?
Me: No, I'll be home in 10 minutes.
Mom: Ok, me and your dad are going to sleep now.
Mom: Do you have your spare key?
Me: Yeah I do. Goodnight.
Mom: Goodnight."
Judging by the time of these texts, he should've been long home when it happened.
"You're mom seems nice."
"She is. Did the texts help you?"
"Yeah thanks, sorry for bothering you."
He smiled "It's ok. I hope your girl gets better soon."
He knew about Bora. That made sense, she was the talk of the school right now.
"Wait hold up..."
"Uhm...she's not my girl. I have a boyfriend, Sua is just a friend."
"Oh sorry...I thought...Uhm, sorry."
I heard Gahyeon giggle behind the others. I stood up and walked towards her. She ran away as fast as she could and hid behind Handong.
"Thank you again."
"You're welcome."
He smiled and we walked away. This meant that Dak-ho was going to be the one who did this to Bora. He had to be, otherwise we would have made a mistake and had to start over again. I felt the anger rise inside of me, but kept it under control. The last thing Bora needed on top of this was me picking fights and possibly making the guy assault her again. Since the bell was about to ring we decided to not approach him today, but instead figure out a plan for tomorrow.
The day went by and nothing special happened. I strolled from class to class, not really paying attention to anything. The final bell rang, indicating that school was done. I packed my back and went outside to the bench were I planned to meet the others.
"Hi Siyeon" Gahyeon greeted me.
I walked towards her and softly hit her arm.
"That's for giggling."
She pouted and I gave her a hug.
"That guy wasn't wrong tho. You like Sua unnie don't you." The way she said it, it was more of a statement than a question.
"I..." I didn't know what to answer. I didn't like her right. I mean as friends, yes, but more...I couldn't. I had a boyfriend. I wasn't gay.
Luckily I saw the others walking towards us. Yoohyeon was waving one hand very enthusiastic as usual, the other was linked with Minji's.
We talked a little and planned to meet up the next day at lunch. I would go to Bora that evening to ask her if she wants to join us. We would confront him, hoping he would confess easily. We said goodbye and all went different ways, besides for Minji and Yoohyeon of course. I walked to Bora's house and knocked on the door. She opened it with a bright smile on her face.
"Hi, how was school?"
"Boring without you."
"I can imagine. Come in."
Bora's house was small in comparison to mine, small but cozy. We went to her room. It's just like I imagined it to be. A little messy but still organized, walls covered with posters, a desk filled with books because the shelf was too small to put them all in there and a bed filled with pillows.
She sat down on her bed and patted the place next to her, urging me to sit down as well. I sat down and told her about the plan we had made for the next day.
"We think it's a good idea if you come with us. Do you think you feel ready for that?"
She took a second to think about it.
"I want to try."
I gave her a reassuring smile. "If you feel overwhelmed just tell me ok."
She smiled back and nodded.
We talked for a little bit longer. Until I had to leave her house before it got too late.
I took the bus back home and got buried in my thoughts once again. I didn't have any feelings for her right, Gahyeon was wrong. She just imagined things. I liked Dongmin, everyone liked Dongmin. I should be grateful for him, not neglect him so much.
I arrived at home. I took off my shoes and jacket and went straight to my room. My mom and dad were on the couch.
"Where were you?" My dad asked with a cold, stern voice.
"I was at Dongmin's place, we hanged out for a bit after school."
"Good, now go to your room. You don't need to eat food, you already got reserves enough."
I quickly went to my room, a little hungry, but my dad was right. I shouldn't eat so much fat food. I put my backpack next to my desk and dropped myself in bed. I didn't know what to expect of tomorrow. Something could go horribly wrong or I could end up really helping Bora. Whatever happened, I knew for sure that I was making the right decision.
I quickly put on my pajamas, packed my bag for tomorrow and slipped under the blanket. It didn't take long before my eyes became heavy. I no longer wanted to think about the hundreds of possible situations that could happen the next day, so I allowed myself to fall into a deep slumber.
