my eighteenth birthday. woohoo. i didn't even want to leave my room, the group was coming over at 12 which meant i had an hour to get ready but i was just about ready to cancel on them. i didn't even understand why chase was now invited places considering his madis ex and emily's new boy but i guess they talked it out

it had not been almost five months since i've seen owen i don't even know if he remembered me at this point i didn't expected him to come back at this point but i guess i wasn't surprised considering ive gotten no texts in the past few months
not wanting to upset myself i run downstairs only to see it's pouring rain "is it gonna be like this all day?" i ask "happy birthday honey, and yes i'm sorry it is gonna be nasty out all day" "thanks mom" i smile
the typical birthday breakfast was pancakes with a few candles in them i thought it was cute and it's been a tradition since colin was a baby only my dad used to make them i was sad knowing blair never got to meet him, she was the baby of some guy who drunk raped mom a few years ago i hated watching her go through that so i guess that's why i never told her around mark.
"the group is gonna be over in an hour" i say "alright, any plans?" mom asks "probably just hanging out considering it's rainy out" "maybe on a nicer day you guys can do something to make up for it" "yeah maybe"
"happy birthday lana" "thanks col" i smile we all eat breakfast talking about me and if i feel any older "it's only been a day, maybe i'll get a tattoo" i laugh "well you're legally an adult so i guess i can't really tell you no" mom says "nah i probably won't, i'll tell you if i am" "oh thank god" she breathes out i laugh at her relief
"people are gonna be here soon so i'm gonna head upstairs" i say "alright" mom smiles i go upstairs and lay around until i get the text that everyone is here, i tell them to come in and up to my room

we stay up in my room for a while just talking about school and stuff like that. "okay can we do gifts now" emily asks "sure" the six of them all hand me their gifts i was surprised chase and emma had gotten me something emily gave me a picture of her and i, a bracelet and a sweatshirt
