Let's bring Niall into this, shall we?

"Are you scared?", Taylor asked while looking out of the window.
It was 6.30 pm on a beautiful August evening, so the sun was still fully up. It was quite beautiful driving down this road. Just watching the stripes on the highway pass by so quickly, one after another. Once we drove by a little forest with gorgeous, big hazels, Taylor spoke again.
I knew she was just as intrigued by this beautiful landscape as I was, that's why I didn't question her being so silent after asking a big question like that.
"Babe, are you scared of the future?", she asked in a tone revealing that she was doubting if she should have asked that.
"Well what do you mean with: the future?", I now ask. This was the first thing my mind came up with, because what do you answer to a question like that.
"You know, now that you're going straight to your senior year and I'm going to my junior? Things are going to be so different, Harry", Taylor almost whispered.
She was still staring straight out of the window, clearly afraid of making eye contact. That's one thing she had though, beautiful eyes. They were warm and yeah, blue I guess, that's all you can really say about eyes.
"We'll keep seeing each other you know, after school", I try to convince her that everything will be just fine.
But the truth is, I don't know if everything will be just fine. I don't think I want everything to be just fine.
Because that's the thing, all of my life everything has been just fine, except for my father of course. My answer to the beloved question: "How are you?", was always: "Oh, I'm good, yeah really good. How about you?"
The words just always roll out of my mouth before I get to think whether I'm actually okay.
I feel bad, very bad because I have the feeling that I'm stalling Taylor and keeping her away from the happiness she truly deserves. Because she does, oh lord, she most certainly does.
"I know, everything will be just so different, you know?", she adds.
I can tell that she doesn't want to end this conversation yet because this is the first time we're actually talking about something else than school or just random stuff in quite a while, I now realize. But I do want to put an end to it, it's making me anxious and sad.
And I don't know why, that's maybe even the worst part. Taylor is perfect, she's sweet, nice, gorgeous and I've known her for so long.
But there was something missing in her eyes.
"I know", I answer because that's the only thing I can think of at the moment.
After around 15 more minutes more of silence later we finally arrive at Olive Garden. That's kind of 'our place'. Taylor and I have been coming here almost every Sunday evening for 5 years now to eat dinner together. We both always ordered a regular spaghetti and a coke.
So that's also what we were planning on doing now. I didn't know what we could talk about yet, so the first 2 minutes were pretty awkward, but I'm sure we'd figure something out.
And well that something or more specifically someone was walking directly at us.
"Niall!", I shout while a wave of relief washed over me. I was happy that I didn't need to start a conversation with Taylor.
"Harold! How are you lad?", Niall asked, while smiling brightly.
Just then I noticed that Niall wasn't alone. Standing right behind him was a gorgeous looking girl. She had long blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. Those type of eyes you could just sink away in, but they also had something icy.
