A little side note: in this chapter, there will be a character named Josh who was a good friend of Harry's in middle school, but then moved away. He'll only be a part of this chapter, that's why I didn't add him to the characters list.

Enjoy!

Flashback to seventh grade

"So what do you want to do?",  I ask Josh.

It was a regular Wednesday afternoon and we didn't have a lot of homework, so Josh asked me if he could come over to just hang out for a bit. I hope Taylor will be okay with it. Well, she must be, because she's out of town with her parents to do some grocery shopping.

"My dad is working all day and my mom is out with Gemma doing girl stuff. I don't even know what, so we have the house to ourselves!", I state in realization.

"Great! Do you want to watch some tv or something? A movie maybe?", Josh asked.

"Yeah, sure why not? Let me have a look at what movies we got here", I answer a little nervously. Almost all of the movies we have in this house are my dad's and a lot of them are linked to special memories.

I start ruffling through hundreds of movies, all ordered alfabetically in a big wooden closet.

Aliens, Bad Boys 1&2, The Fast And The Furious, Parker ...

My dad loves movies and I love watching them with him. They weren't always my kind of movies, but I didn't care. We always shout at the tv, telling the characters what to do. And it didn't matter what they did, we always thought we could do it better.

Then my mom and Gemma would roll their eyes or start laughing. I loved movie nights, but it has been some time since we had one. Dad is working all the time and he is pretty distant these days.

"Ooh, I see you got The Notebook here!", Josh exclaimed while holding up a DVD.

"How did you-? How did you find that?", I ask with a look of shock on my face.

"Well, it was laying underneath this pile of pillows here", Josh mumbled, clearly feeling a little guilty.

"No no, it's okay it's just, I thought I hid it better", I say.

Josh looked confused.

"Oh well, my dad doesn't like that kind of movies and he doesn't want me to watch them", I say while looking at the floor.

"Oh okay, but then why do you have it?", Josh asked still looking pretty confused.

"My mom bought it for me on Christmas. She came to my room at night and gave it to me as a late present. It has been my favourite movie ever since", I confess.

"Oh well, that's a nice thing for her to do. Do you want to watch it now?", Josh asked to my surprise, while walking over to the couch.

"You? You want to watch it with me? It's not a very manly film", I state while looking down at the floor again.

"A film doesn't have to be manly for us to watch it, right?", Josh asked, clearly not seeing any problem in this.

"I guess, yeah", I agree while letting myself fall down on the couch.

"I also love the movie, I watch it all the time with my family", Josh said, making me jealous.

After clicking a few buttons the movie started playing. I immediately fell into this 'Notebook haze' and I loved it.
