Once the team had announced they were a public organization,(which made things much easier to explain) they ended up all buying houses outside the base for a life of their own but still worked at went to the base and such.
Bobbi and Hunter lived together nearbyhere Mack and Elena had moved into as well. FitzSimmons and Daisy all had apartments in the same area. That left May and Coulson to as May called it 'Spliting rent' but Daisy thinks otherwise.
One time when they were over at their place they all had watched movies that day and a series of teasing May about her looking a lot like Mulan. They didn't push it after she threatened to downgrade them but they still giggled about it.
Mack and Elena had already left as well as Bobbi and Hunter. That left the other three all together with their two parental figures. Fitzsimmons left when it was about to be 10:00 already. That left Daisy alone with her two parents.
"You staying the night? We have a guest room." Coulson asked Daisy cleaning up the leftover snacks as May and her helped.
"I guess, kinda late for me to drive back home." Daisy said stacking up the game bored they had.
"I should've went home when Fitzsimmons left-" Daisy muttered as she almost fell,over the couch.
"We don't mind company." May said looking at the Inhuman.
"You sure? Don't wanna intrude on any plans you two had after this." Daisy said sitting on the couch.
Suddenly they heard thunder outside.
"Looks like it's going to rain." Coulson stated looking out the window through the blinds.
"Okay well, Ima head to bed. I'm pretty tired," Daisy stated with a yawn following.
"I'll show you the guest room." May offered as her and Daiy walked up the stairs.
"So? Splitting rent, huh?" Daisy said after a moment of silence.
"We just split rent daisy, nothing more nothing less." May says walking down the hall to a room on the far corner by a window and a table with a picture frame and plants.
Daisy looked at the picture frame. It was her and Coulson at the beach as Coulson picking up May by her waist and her laughing. Daisy remembers that day because she took the picture, it was also the day the found out Hunter can't swim to save his life or ice skate for that matter.
"Here's the guest room." May said leading Daisy into the bedroom that was modern and simple. It had red curtains on the window, a bed with white sheets and a few blankets. A small desk with an office chair, a dresser in the middle by the wall with a few long desk shelves on each side. It held books, a few plants, and other items.
Daisy gasped at it and crash on the bed sighing with relief. Memory foam mattress.
"Thanks. Also does every room with a bed have a memory foam mattress?" Daisy questioned sinking into the mattress.
May smiled and nodded,"Makes it easier to do things." She stated
"Also bathrooms over there, extra toothbrush under the sink, and if you wanna shower just let us know." May said
"Okay, thanks!" Daisy said as may then closed the door to the bedroom as days could her her footstep she fade as she walked down the hall.

Down in the kitchen where Coulson was eating leftover food he made for dinner earlier.
"Hey, she liked the room?" Coulson asked
May nodded and then smelled the leftovers. Coulson chuckled,"Want some?" He asked she grinned. He handed her his fork and she reluctantly took it getting some meat with rice together and eating into. She hummed in reply to its taste.
"Still amazing as always." May said with a smile that made Coulson blush slightly. He loved her smile, her real smile. Not the one she faked when she wasn't okay, he could tell the difference.
Suddenly they heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
"Hi-uh-Do you have any clothes I can borrow. Ima take up the offer of showering. It's raining all day tomorrow as well-" Daisy said walking into the kitchen looking between May and Coulson which stood a plate and a single for. Daisy didn't question it.
Coulson nodded,"I think we have some old short and sweatpants in the room, ill get them for you." Coulson said as Dian's followed him up the stairs.
Daisy's noticed how he put the room instead of his room. To anyone who didn't know daisy this would've sounded silly but Daisy was onto something. Nonetheless daisy waited as Coulson dug around through some boxes in the closet.
Daisy looked around the room, a large bed with side tables on each side, and a few belongings out of place. The bed had black bedsheets and a few blankets like her bed expect her sheets where white.
"Here ya go." Coulson said handing daisy a black shirt and light grey sweatpants,"As May for the other...things-" Coulson said with an unsure tone which Disy couldn't decide weather she should laugh or just nod akwardly.
A few minutes passed as the two heard the shower turn on and a slight squealer.
"OKAY-Nope-dats the hot one-" They heard daisy screech as May let out a small laugh. Coulson starred at her. They could hear the rain from outside as it poured down.
The light in the kitchen was very dim. The two made there way to the couch and sat in silence.
"Does it amaze you?" Coulson suddenly asked breaking the silence between the two of them.
"Hm?" She replied, confused by his question as she leaned back into the couch.
"We did that. We gave Daisy a home and something to live for. We did that for everyone, does it amaze you to see what they've become as people?" Coulson explained, may stayed quite as her lips tugged upward into a smile.
"Yeah..it does. Because we helped them..." May replied. A loud bang of thunder came around and May covered her ears. May wasn't afraid of rain or thunderstorms, it just made her think of bad thoughts and they were also loud.
The two of sigh. Coulson opens his arms as an invitation. She accepts. She climbs her way over into the spot into his arms and she's now sitting curled up on his lap and snuggled into his chest. One of his arms over her waist and the other on her leg. Her head resting on his chest as he relaxes into the pillow leaning back, his head on top of her head.
"Melinda?" Coulson says
"Hm?" She says looking up into his eyes.
He looks right back at her. Their faces are inches apart and their lips on the verge of touching one another's. He glances down at her and she's follows. He leans down giving her time to pull away as their lips brush against eachother's. But she leans into it as well when he closes the gap. They break the kiss after a few minutes as she's catching her breath. She smiles. Then rests her head back on his chest.
"I love you Mel..." He tells her kissing her forehead, he can see her smile
"I love you too...dork.." she replys
"I'm your dork..." Coulson says closing his eyes
"You are." May chuckles closing her eyes
They don't notice or even heard that the shower had stopped ages ago and daisy was by the stairs with her phone and grinning like a child.
She snickers but they don't hear her. They're already fats asleep. Daisy pulls a blanket over the two allowing them to rest in one another's arms. She would so tell Jemma about this later on. She took a picture of the two before making her way to the guest room and calling it a night as she layed in bed on her back.
"Just splitting rent, huh?" Daisy mumbled under her breathe before she her eyelids fluttered closed.
They weren't ever hearing the end of this from her.
