Fair Waring: Mentions of Anxiety attack and abuse.

Note: there are different ways anxiety can be showne on a person. For example, my anxiety would be physical and the basic. By physical I mean messing with something and getting lost in thoughts to the point where your anxiety spikes. Basic is just the basic attacked coming out of your thoughts when you think to much, basically stress. I don't know if it's  just me but whenever I get anxiety attacks I usually start to notice it when I mess with my ring on my finger. I'll twist it and just fiddle with it until it hits me. It's unlike a panic attack which those come out of nowhere and sometimes you feel like your dying to the point where you feel like you can't breath.

Fitz didn't seem to be bother by the clicking or tapping. Jemma however was constantly hearing it as the two people sat besides her. May and Elena.

Elena kept mindlessly tapping the pencil on the table until she sighed and started to mess with her marriage ring. It was a Silver band that interwined at the top, with a jewel in the middle. Fancy but not so fancy. Jemma was greatful she stopped the tapping of the pencil. The clicking stopped for a moment as it resumed after a few minutes.

"Elena?" Jemma said catching both the inhuman and the older women's attention. May' she clicking on the pen didn't stop though. Jemma did her best to ignore it not wanting to piss May off or snap at her. She understood why she was so agitated, it's been a weird week for most of them. Especially for Coulson, May and The Inhuman team.

"You're clear, but you still do need to get at least more than six hours of rest. Four doesn't cut I think Yo-yo." She said swapping files over on the tablet mindlessly.

"Alright, Thanks Simmons." Elena said getting up from the chair and walking out the lab waving goodbye to Fitz in the process.

Jemma then persumed to plop down on her spinnng black chair. May didn't seem to pay any attention and her expression was unreadable. She was only focused on the pen and it's clicking

Jemma skipping through more files and wrote on paper with the pencil Elena had been tapping with.

She muttered a few words under her breath that sounded like gibberish. Jemma took a notice on how May also shivered once in a while and her hand would trembled for a short moment.

That's when Jemma couldn't take it anymore. The constant clicking of the pen made something inside Jemma twist and snap a little.

"Agent May." She said not turning around. She waited but didn't get a response only the clicking of a pen.

"Agent May." She said more sternly. No response

"Agent Melinda Coulson." She said with much more anger in her voice than she expected to come out. That's what go May's attention. It got her husbands as well when she heard the chair move from the desk space on the opposite side of herself.

She looked up.

"Could you please stop clicking the pen?" She said more calmer this time. May looked at the pen then set it down. She shivered and trembled a little.

Jemma now started finding it odd.

"May? Are you okay...?" Jemma asked scooting the chair closer.

May shrugged and looked at the pen now lying on the white surface.

"May." She said with a steadiness in de voice.

"Sorry..Just..Zoned out I guess." May responded looking away.

"Wanna talk?" Jemma asked

May nodded her head no and then made her way out the lab before Simmons could clear her. She didn't care about that right now. She needed to clear her mind.

Jemma hesitated before following the older women.

She found May in the gym after losing a track if her for a few minutes. She had her shoes off, along with her jacket and her hands were thinly wrapped in the tape. Jemma observed her for a few minutes. May's breath started getting shorter and more ragged along with her movements became sloppy. She started shaking visable.

"May? MAY!" Jemma called out when she saw her plop to the ground wiping sweat of her forehead.

"I asked you...What's wrong?" Jemma tired. She soon recognized the symptoms with May.

She was having an anxiety attack. It all made sense now.

The clicking of the pen, sloppy movements, late responses, and why she was quieter than normal.

A few minutes passed By May was by the wall on knee up and a Jemma sat besides her.

"So..?" Jemma asked handing the older women a bottle of fresh water.

"I guess I'm just under stress.." She finally admitted.

Jemma nodded.

Before she even could even think she side hugged May, putting her head on her should. She felt May tense and then relax and she settled her head on top of the young brit's. May coed her eyes and sighed.

May's life was basically giving up something she loved for the protect of another thing. She couldn't no longer think straight. May she was tried, and this wasn't exactly the first time She had ever gotten a anxiety attack.

Maybe in the end it was worth it or was it really?

May felt relaxed around her like she did around the rest. Her husband was different though. May smiled as Jemma snuggled closer when she noticed Jemma had dozed off.

Maybe they weren't so bad in the end...
