Jimin only spent about a week staying in Seokjin's house. It didn't take long for him to learn. He had always been a quick learner, and after meeting Hoseok, Seokjin's friend, life started to fly by quickly. He had learned. He learned everything, including how to feed on animals, how to use his abilities, and how to handle himself near the humans.

When all was well and Jimin had finally settled into working, he got himself a place to stay at. It was one bedroom and it was a very tiny house, but Jimin was okay with that. He was okay with the little house.

Every once in a while, he runs into one of the three other bloodsuckers he had met. They tried to convince him to stay there and live with them, but Jimin couldn't. He needed to figure himself out and wrap his head around his new life, and he was too scared to make new friends. Afraid he'd lose them.

He had lost his family and friends already. In this new life of his, Jimin planned to figure himself out first. He wants to toughen up physically and mentally before he throws himself into building new relationships.

And years down the road, he was doing quite fine. He could live off of the animal blood which was near the town. He was quite good at hunting, too. His house eventually became his house, and he had gotten better at work, better at doing physical things for people who needed someone to do some heavy lifting, which made him lots of money.

He had gotten stronger.

Time went by very quickly. Quicker than when he was a human. And as the years passed by, people started to question Jimin.

"How do you still seem so young?"

"You look the same."

"Your skin is incredible."

"Shouldn't you be aging like us?"

Jimin didn't understand this. Seokjin didn't tell him about this ability; the ability to never age. Every day, he wakes up the same man he was forty years ago. He doesn't even feel old, either. He still feels the same. All he could do was shrug at the suspicions.

As the late 1700s came, Jimin met someone on the streets— just like he met Seokjin.

"Are you lost?"

The lost man looked up at him. It was late in the evening, but Jimin could see his wide, dark brown eyes, and he could immediately tell that this person was not a human either. However, unlike how Jimin met Seokjin, this man sat down on the steps of the construction that Jimin was trying to work on, and he wasn't panicking and didn't seem new to this.

"How do you do it?" he asked Jimin.

He knew what the man meant.

"I'm guessing you don't like this lifestyle either, huh?" he asked the man, making his way to sit down next to him. He had never met another one of them. He was curious.

"I had to leave, sir," the man told him, "I cannot stay in one place for too long. I have nobody and people were starting to question me. I had to run away." The man spoke low, and he looked young, but Jimin doubts he truly is so young or naive.

"No need to call me sir," Jimin said. "Call me Jimin. And I know how you feel. I've lived here for over forty years and they ask me questions all the time." He glanced at the man. He had long, curly black hair. It was almost in his eyes like he had been struggling to fix it. "You left because of the questions?"

"I had to," he said.

There was a short silence. It wasn't too uncomfortable because the night was coming and it was easy to just watch the sun setting and think to themselves for a moment.

"I'm Taehyung," the man finally introduced himself. He held his hand out to shake, which Jimin took. "If you don't mind me asking, are there any places to stay here? Are there any of us here?" he asked.

Jimin nodded. "We don't bother each other at all. Just a few others. If you plan on staying here, don't hurt our people."

"I don't hurt others," Taehyung said. "I just need somewhere to be human again."

Another nod. Jimin knew what that felt like, wanting to be human again. Not being human still hasn't exactly hit him yet, either. He sometimes still finds himself forgetting— ignoring. He had become ignorant.

"You can stay here, then."
