Sixteen

   "I knew you two were keeping something from me, but holy hell, man."

  Jungkook's eyes were nearly popped out as he assessed everything. He could see where Jimin and Taehyung were coming from, but it was clear that he was only processing Jimin's words "you're a vampire", because who the hell saves a kid from a car wreck and then suddenly tells them that they're now a vampire?

  It was tricky, the way they had to come up with a plan. As soon as Jungkook started turning, Jimin had to hide him somehow. Taehyung got in the driver seat of Jungkook's car and Jimin took the younger out, running straight to an empty area.

  Taehyung had told the cops that he was driving his friend's car and the guy swerved onto him, which was half true. Jimin eventually took Jungkook to their apartment and waited for Taehyung to come back so that they could wait for Jungkook to wake up. He wasn't sure if he did the turning right or not, so all they could do was wait.

  Well, it worked.

  Jungkook woke up, still in panic, but soon realized that something was different.

  "Holy hell," Jungkook's lips parted as Taehyung presented him with a blood packet— blood banks were a blessing; a blessing which Taehyung regularly steals from (he has a vampire friend who gives them out).

  "Okay, language, kid," Jimin said. "Now that you know we're older and we saved your ass, at least put a little respect on our name."

  Jungkook quickly nodded. "Oh wow. T-Thank you for saving me. I thought- I really thought I was going to die, hyung."

  "Ah," Taehyung smiled. He was hugging the smaller on the couch, holding the blood out for him to take. "I'm glad you're alright. Honestly, I don't think we've turned anyone before, like, ever. So you're seriously lucky"

  The youngest blinked in confusion. "Y-You've never turned anyone before?"

  "Can't say that now," Jimin told him. "Now drink the blood, Dracula. Go on."

  Jungkook glanced at the blood, and though it seemed very unappetizing, he needed to feed on it, especially since he lost so much blood from the wreck— which Jimin so kindly washed off of him, by the way.

  He took the blood pack from a grinning Taehyung, and eventually, this would be the beginning of a new life for not only Jungkook but Taehyung and Jimin as well.

   It was difficult to find a background story for Jungkook. His parents had gotten worried about why their son hadn't come home and they nearly went crazy when Jungkook told them about Taehyung crashing his car. They asked him if he was okay, but then asked him why the hell he let someone else drive his car when he had just gotten his car.

But the vampires didn't know what they were going to do with Jungkook. They eventually came up with a list of things. Jungkook could stay with them and live the next few years as a normal guy, like a normal teenage boy. Graduate, go to university, whatever.

But they explained to Jungkook that he wouldn't age anymore. They explained to him his biggest concern, which was the sun myth and food. Taehyung told him the sun is a bitch, and that it only tingles their skin. He also explained that they have plenty of blood and that it's not a daily consumption.

Jungkook seemed to be open-minded about being a vampire. It was odd, but then again, Jungkook had most definitely been the most curious boy Jimin has ever met, so he can see why Jungkook isn't freaked out. Hell, who knows what this boy's been into?

"So, if I get a normal job after I graduate, I should be just fine?" Jungkook asked. "If I live with you, I- I'll pay my part."

"You can live with us, definitely," Taehyung told him. "By the time you move out from your parent's house, Jimin and I will probably be ready to move. We usually move often, but we can wait it out for you and we can find a bigger apartment, right Jimin?"

Jimin nodded. "Of course. You can move in with us later. For now, we'll teach you as much as we know for basic living, like how to control your hunger and all."

"Oh." Jungkook stared up at Jimin, those curious eyes meeting his. "Right."

And that was how Jimin and Taehyung ended up with an addition to their new coven. It wasn't needed, but very much wanted. From then on, Jungkook was family.
