Jaden: “Dude, I have so many ideas for you. I hated leaving that studio when we were making so much progress.”
Mads looked visibly sad that the movie was barely over and Jaden was already rushing out. He’d barely even noticed she was sad the entire time he’d been there.
Chase: “I don’t want to leave if it’s going to disappoint you, babe. We can just go another day, I don’t mind.”
You: “No, no. Go, baby. We have all day tomorrow together. I’m so proud of you it’s crazy.”
He kissed her goodbye and the guys headed out the door. Jaden was avoiding the subject of his very angry girlfriend and instead asked Chase: “Why do you seem so nervous about putting your music out there, your girl seems so supportive?”
Chase: “She is. I wish I could say the same for my family. My parents supported me going to college for music when they thought I’d be some classically trained pianist, but as soon they realized I was working on punk rock, they flipped.”
An hour into working out ideas, Jaden and Chase were completely amped up about the progress they were making. With Jaden perfecting the beat and Chase’s vocals, they were creating something really special.

Jaden: “It’s seriously almost perfect. Have you ever tried to go up with your octave instead of that lower note in the chorus?”
Chase was nervous about whether he could pull it off but when he stepped up to the mic and belted out: “This is the eulogy of you and me of you and meeee.”
Jaden couldn’t even contain himself and threw off his headphones before rushing into the sound booth: “Dude, are you kidding me? That was phenomenal!”
Chase: “Wow, I didn’t think I could hit the higher note.”
Jaden: “We have got to post this, now.”
*END JADEN’S POV*
You girls had decided to watch a second movie after the guys bailed and at the scariest part, your phone rang. All 3 of you screamed out loud then broke into laughter as you pulled the phone out. You slipped out into the kitchen to take the call so Mads and Nessa could keep watching: “Hey Avani, what’s up?”
Avani: “Is Chase around? I’ve been calling him all night.”
You: “He’s at the studio with Jaden. They’ve been working on a song together.”
Avani: “That’s awesome. I’m so proud of him. I don’t want to interrupt so don’t bug him, but when you hear from him can you let him know that Anthony and I are leaving in the morning instead of next week.”
You: “Oh no. He wouldn’t want to miss saying goodbye. He’ll call me on the way home, I’m sure so I’ll make plans to bring him by first thing in the morning.”
You snuck back into the living room with a plan to sneak up on them and scare them again, but when you walked in the movie was paused and the girls were freaking out.
Kouvr: “Okay, crazy girls. No more horror movies if you’re going to wake your dad and I up with the screaming.”
Mads: “Mom you have got to come hear this! Chase just posted a tiktok with the song he’s been working on with Jaden.”
They played the clip as everyone stood in shock. You had heard him sing a few times, but he didn’t have the confidence to do it often so you really didn’t realize he was capable of sounding that amazing.

Alex: “Woah, your Chase is singing that? That sounds good enough to be on the radio right now.”
Mads: “Jaden produced it!”
Your phone rang again and when you heard Chase’s voice on the other end, nothing could wipe away the smile that spread across your face.
Chase: “I was hoping I could stop by on the way home if it’s not too late. I didn’t get enough time with my girl tonight.”
You: “It shouldn’t be too late to stop by. Everyone is awake right now anyway.”
You looked to your mom for approval as she smiled and nodded: “I’m headed to bed so don’t be noisy, please.”
Mads and Nessa headed to bed as you crept outside to wait for Chase so he didn’t wake anyone up by knocking. Within a few minutes, you saw his car pulling down your street. It was amazing how after all this time he still gave you butterflies. He hurried up to you and pulled you into a kiss before whispering: “Did you tell them yet?”
You: “About your music? Trust me, the second you posted that to tiktok it blew up so fast I don’t think you could keep it a secret if you tried.”
Chase: “No I mean that we decided to move to the city and get an apartment together closer to campus.”
You: “No… your song kinda took the spotlight.”
Chase: “I honestly haven’t even opened the app since I posted it. I’ve been too nervous to read the comments. I guess I just figured everyone would think it was lame.”
You: “Babe, it was totally hot!”
Chase: “Oh yeah? Hot, hmmm.”
After a few minutes of being lost in the kiss that followed how worked up you were feeling, you suddenly remembered why you’d wanted to talk to him.
You: “Babe, before I forget. Avani called.”
Chase: “Oh yeah. I meant to tell you… they want to get together this weekend before they move.”
You: “Uh… there was a change of plans. They are actually leaving tomorrow. Don’t worry I already made plans for us to go there first thing in the morning.”
Chase: “I don’t want to leave, but I’m getting tired. I literally can’t wait until next week when we get to start saying goodnight instead of goodbye… if you ever tell your family.”
