Noella's POV

*3 weeks later*

“See you on Monday Ruby. Goodnight.” With that I left Mrs. Peterson’s house.

I got off pretty late today, as Ruby’s last session ran a bit late. It was currently 10 pm and I was exhausted, to say the least. Thankfully, I had a whole weekend to rest. No college, no work. Ah! Whoever invented weekends were the best.

As I got to the lobby of the building, I saw Spencer enter the entrance gate.

It became almost usual for us to meet whenever I got off from work, as his and mine work timings were kind of the same. I could say he was as tired as me from his face, but he did not fail in flashing one of his million dollar smiles as he saw me. I returned the gesture, as if it was automated in me.

We kissed as he approached me. Again, a usual gesture. But trust me, every time I kissed him, it felt like the first time.

“Tired?” he asked, pulling back. "Is it that evident?" I sighed. But he just smiled in return.

"We never went on our first date did we?" He asked out of the blue.

"What?" I asked, not able to register what he said right now.

"Yeah, we never really went on an official date." He stated. I know, we never did.

"We did not. I wonder why!" I chuckled. He just shrugged his shoulders in response.

"Tomorrow?"  He asked.

"Really? Wow, you're fast!" I laughed. "I know." He smirked. "I would love to." I smiled.

"But where to?" I added. He snaked his arms around my waist and pulled me closer.

"That is for me to know and you to find out."

"Whatever, don't disappoint me though. I have high standards you know!" I smirked. "As you wish, my Queen." He pulled back and bowed. I let out a laugh at his cuteness and he joined me in it.

"I'll pick you up at 3 pm, cool?" He asked. I nodded grinning in excitement. We kissed one more time and parted ways.

The whole way through my cab ride I was getting giddy and grinning like a maniac, thinking about tomorrow.

My first date with Spencer! Oh god! I just can't wait for it now. This was sounding too exciting for my own good. 17 whole hours to go! Ugh, too much!

*Next day*

I was rummaging through my closet, being indecisive of choosing an outfit. Spencer messaged me a few minutes ago saying to dress casually.

I finally went for black jeans, black top and a blue denim jacket. I brushed my hair and pulled it into a high ponytail. I applied some mascara and lip gloss, completing my look. Slipping into white sneakers and carrying my purse, I descended downstairs.

It was currently 2:45 pm. Karla wasn't home as she went on a date too. Talk about coincidence!

Her relationship was on a smooth track. She seemed really happy whenever she talked about Dave, her current boyfriend. And honestly, that's all I wish for her. Her to be happy.

I was sitting on the couch and scrolling through my phone in the process of waiting for Spencer, when I heard the doorbell.

My heart started beating at the speed of light. I closed my eyes to calm myself, but the smile, which was playing from a while ago, failed to falter. Instead it just grew wider. I took a deep breath and opened the door.
