Noella's POV

"I am so nervous, Noella. What if I trip down on the aisle? What if I get nervous? Which I already am from yesterday. Is it too late to run away now?" Karla, who was all dolled up beautifully in a white ball gown dress with a beautiful updo complementing the dress, was nervously pacing back forth through the room.

I got up from my chair and just hugged her.

"Everything will be perfectly alright. Trust me, hmm?" I pulled back and smiled. She took a deep breath and returned the smile, nodding.

"I wish Teresa was here on this big day of mine." She said as a tear slipped down her cheeks.

"Well, Teresa left her daughter behind, so just think that she is here with you in my form. And don't ruin the make up, or else you know Juliette's anger. She can't do anything to you, but I would become her punching bag for ruining her masterpiece work." I chuckled.

She chuckled back as she slightly wiped the tears which were forming in the corner of her eyes.

A knock on the door of the dressing room, gathered our attention. I opened the door just to find Juliette who said, "Are you ready? Everyone is waiting." "It's time, isn't it?" Karla sighed.

I hugged her one more time and in a couple of minutes, Karla walked down the aisle with a long beautiful train which dragged behind her. We reached the altar and I was standing beside her as the maid of honour.

Now, you might be thinking what the hell is going on right now. Well, let me take you back in time.

*2 weeks earlier*

"I can't believe we are already done with freshman year of college! Whoever said time flies within a blink of an eye, give them an award I would say." Juliette laughed at her own remark as Eric, her and I came out in the campus garden after finishing our last exam.

We truly did finish our freshman year. And honestly, getting through it without these crazy people I like to call friends would have been impossible.

A familiar hand wrapped around my waist from behind. I turned around only to get kissed softly. "You know, I am starting to love this greeting of yours." I grinned as we pulled back.

"Which one? I have no idea." Spencer said, acting oblivious. I playfully slapped the side of his head but kissed him anyway. He chuckled and tightened his grip around me. "Get a room, you two!" Juliette said, rolling her eyes.

"Um, just to let you know, there were n number of times when I have wanted to say the same thing to you and Eric. Okay?" I chuckled.

"I have witnessed worse in school!" Spencer exclaimed which made both of us laugh, but in response Juliette and Eric just narrowed their eyes, making our eyes tear up in laughter. The passer-bys gave us weird looks, but we couldn't care less. The scenario was too funny for our own good. My phone rang bringing our laughter session to a halt.

"Hello?"

"Noella, can you please hurry up home? It's an emergency." Karla responded in a serious tone, which made me frown in anxiety.

"What's the matter Karla, is everything alright?"

"Just come home quick. I am on my way." Was all she said and hung up.

The moment gave so much anxiety that sweat beads started forming on my forehead.

"Is everything alright? You seem really anxious." Said Eric.

"No, I don't know, Karla said it was an emergency. What if something has happened to her? What if-" my ranting was stopped when Spencer gently squeezed his hand on my shoulder reassuringly and took me into a side embrace, but it still did fully calm me down.
