Jimin stared at his best friend from head to foot. It's been a while since he last saw Jin. Though, he expected that he would be disappointed, he just realized how angry he was feeling until he saw Jin in person.
"What excuse are you going to tell me this time?" Jimin asked in a stern tone. Yoongi who was sitting beside him nudged his side, but he just earned a glare from Jimin.
Jin sighed. He couldn't even look at Jimin in the eye. And Jin being uncomfortable prompted Yoongi to stand up.
"Little Hoonie, come to Uncle Yoongi. Let's buy ice cream?" Yoongi stretched out his arms and hearing the word ice cream, Sunghoon immediately kicked his legs, wanting to get out of his stroller. "Ice cream I want!"
Yoongi cheerfully carried Sunghoon and they walked away from Jimin and Jin. Giving them time to talk in private.
"Where's Hoseok?" Jin asked, sipping from the cup of Americano Jimin ordered in advance.
"Well, he's busy with his shop so as usual, he cannot make it. He is still workaholic even while pregnant. We can visit him later if you still have time. And back to you, don't think you can sway me, where's the shoes I bought for you?" Jimin raised an eyebrow at Jin, eyeing the old pair or shoes Jin was wearing.
Jin cleared his throat. That shoe Jimin was talking about was long gone. "Well... Jimin, you know Namjoon can be a bit petty when someone buys me clothes."
"So he threw it."
"It's not that..."
"He is a fucked up man!"
"Jimin?!"
Jimin rolled his eyes. Sipping loudly from his own cup of iced coffee as he fanned himself. His head was so heated that the cold drink couldn't calm his burning nerves down. "Stop that shit, Jin. If he didn't like that zou are taking presents from your friends, why don't he buy you a new set of clothes?"
Jin frowned. "I don't need them."
"Bullshit!"
The cursing from Jimin causing Jin to look around. Not wanting others to hear what they were talking about. "I'm only inside our home. I don't like going out. Buying new clothes or shoes is just a waste of money. It's not a good idea."
Jimin looked up, trying to find some sense of Jin's explanation. The last time they met, Jin had the same reasons and it's annoying him. "You are my best friend. I also guess that I am your only friend. As we both know, Hoseok isn't always available. You know, me, being concern doesn't mean I am being nosy.
He didn't need to throw the gifts your friend gave you. I bet he did that because I stepped on his ego. And I bet that's precisely the reason why he hates me. Because I am more concern to you, that I noticed that he's not taking care of you. Okay, fine, he is a good provider. Your home is drop-dead luxurious, perhaps, you're eating food comparable to fine dine-in restos out there. Your garden was huge, the cars were top-of-the-line, he's giving only the best for Sunghoon. But how about you?
Gifting his husband, who was forced to stay at home to take care of everything, isn't a big deal. And don't reason that you don't need it because you're only at home. Stop that! You deserved to be pampered from time to time. To show you some gratitude that he appreciates what you're doing for your family. All I can see from him is he's treating you as his maid."
"Jimin?"
"No! You listen to me. You're not his prisoner. You deserve new clothes, or a vacation on a beach, or a massage. You deserve that. He can afford that for fuck's sake! You deserve to relax and watch some movies with your friends. Getting married is not the end of your social life. But that's what he's trying to imply, unfortunately, already implying. You have to fight, Jin. Because at the end, knock on wood, I bet you will end up with nothing. I am telling you, Jin. Namjoon is a dangerous man!"
