Jungkook stared intently through his switchable glass wall. He programmed it to two-way so he could see the entire office outside. But his eyes were fixed on a certain person who seemed preoccupied when it was only 7 in the morning and work usually starts at 8. Considering, Jin was going home every night at 9 in the evening according to the janitor. Apart from his coffee that needed to be bought every day, nothing else was required.
He was about to phone Yoongi and ask about something when he realized he hadn't eaten his breakfast yet. Opening the paper packaging, the banana bread was still warm. He was about to take a bite when he halted and dialed Jin's number.
Jin went in just after seconds. "Did you even ask me if I want banana bread?"
Jin's pupil dilated as he tried to conceal his surprise and annoyance. "I'm sorry, Mr. Jeon. I thought you still want banana bread."
"If you're not sure, you ask. You have my number, didn't you?"
Jin nodded, his eyes were fixed on the poor banana bread on the table. "Yes, sir. From now on, I will message you every morning to inquire about your choice of coffee and bread. It's just that, I am buying those on my way--"
"That's why the coffee isn't that hot anymore. Did Jimin tell you I like my coffee hot?!"
Jin nodded once more, "He did. I'm sorry again, Mr. Jeon. What coffee and bread do you want me to buy?"
"Same coffee. I want it hot. And Turkey Salad. I want the lettuce and tomatoes cold."
Jin breathed in and out several times as he made his way to the coffee shop for the second time that day. He already messaged the barista to prepare his order. He didn't know what was wrong with his boss as he seemed always annoyed, and it was going on for some days now. He wondered why his boss was so grumpy almost every second of the day. If he and his girlfriend or boyfriend have issues, why does he need to Shift his anger to me? Jin thought as he walked inside the coffee shop where he also works at night.
The barista already was laughing as soon as Jin entered the shop. "I already prepared Mr. Jeon's order so you won't need to wait. Are you okay?"
Jin frowned as he gave the card to the barista and took the bag of coffee and bread. "He is always grumpy I wonder what are his issues? I mean, is his partner having an affair or their relationship falling apart that's why his blood keeps on shooting up all the time?"
The barista chuckled while giving the card back to Jin which Jin took and put in his pocket. "Bosses are like that sometimes. Just let it pass. We're just lucky Ms. Yuna is a nice boss. Maybe there are just really some issues going on in your boss's life. It will be fine. When our shift coincides, let's go out to unwind."
Jin was thankful his co-employees in the coffee shop, where he was working as an all-around staff, were all nice and understanding. Even his boss. If the coffee shop could only provide him with a better salary, he would rather work there than endure Jungkook's tantrums.
"I already drink the cold coffee and the banana bread since you took so long to arrive."
Jin was flabbergasted as he heard what Jungkook had said. He thought he was fast since the barista already have his orders prepared as he messaged them that he would be coming. "I'm sorry, Mr. Jeon. I promise this won't happen again."
Jin was waiting for Jungkook to dismiss him but what Jungkook uttered next surprised him more. "Take it."
Jin's reaction was confused as he tried to absorb the order. "S-sir?"
"What do you expect? I'll eat and drink those too. You take it. You should just thank me that I gave you breakfast."
Jin was even more stunned than he already was. He didn't even know how to say thank you or if he should say that. But he knew he should avoid conflict. "Thank you, sir. And I'm so--"
