"Hoonie, don't put that in your mouth." Jin reminded his son who was currently playing with big Lego blocks. "Tummy ouchy?"

Jin nodded and smiled at his son who was grinning while showing him the blocks he built. "Wow! Is that a building?"

Sunghoon shook his head. "Appa's house."

Jin laughed at his son, finding him adorable. "Let's call Nana so she can see my Hoonie bunny?"

Sunghoon nodded excitedly. The toddler loves it whenever Jin video calls his mother, whom Sunghoon fondly called Nana. Tapping his pockets, and looking around, Jin noticed his phone wasn't with him. "Hoonie, appa will get his phone upstairs. I'll be very quick. Stay here and build more houses for appa, okay?"

"Okay, appa."

It's been a while since he last talked to his mom. Not because he doesn't have time, but because he was shy and he wasn't able to send money as often as he promised he would when he graduated college. They weren't really poor, but his father was laid off from work before he got married. His parents chose to build a small eatery in front of their home in the countryside. Still, Jin felt he was useless as his parents spent their lives so he could study.

In the hallway of their house, Jin saw Namjoon holding a phone and speaking to someone. Realizing it was his phone, he felt as if someone squeezed his heart. He could already see Namjoon's anger. His husband's glare made him want to walk back but why would he? He's confident he had done nothing to anger Namjoon.

"Yes, Eomma. I will tell Jin. Bye, and see you soon," Namjoon's eyes were on fire that it outstared Jin, who grabbed his phone from Namjoon's hand. "Why did you answer my phone and why didn't you let me talk to my mom?!"

Jin was so upset he turned his heel but halted after hearing Namjoon's taunting. "Your mom wanted to say thank you for the money and gift you sent to them."

Jin turned back to look at Namjoon. He could feel his knees already buckling. He hadn't sent anything to his parents. He was wondering whether Namjoon wanted to know something or wanted to catch him lying.

"What are you talking about? I did not send anything to them," Jin's voice was furious, but he was nervous at the same time.

Namjoon smirked, crossed his arms, and stepped closer to Jin. Jin did not back out, challenged himself to a staring game with his husband. "So it's Jimin?"

"Why do you keep on mentioning my friends when they have nothing to do with us?!"

"Are you raising your voice at me, Seokjin?"

"Because you're starting another issue when there's none! What the hell is wrong with you? " Jin tried to keep his voice low as he didn't want his son to hear them.

Namjoon scoffed, obviously running out of patience. Stepping closer to Jin, who was shorter than he is, he looked down at Jin as if he was intimidating him. "According to your mom, Jimin went there and brought cash and gifts. Your nosy 'best friend' deceived your parents that it came from you. Now, my question is, did you ask Jimin to buy those things? Did he lend you money? Or he just does want to want like a hero? Making me look like a stupid husband? Or you stole money from our account so you can give your parents money?"

The information caught Jin off-guard. He has no idea that Jimin went to his parent's home to give them something. He remembered Jimin asking him if he had already visited them and he unconsciously answered him that he couldn't because he had nothing to give.

His parents are not materialistic. They are not asking for money or anything from him. His father always tells him that his happiness is more important and he should not worry about them. But Jin could not accept that his marriage would almost cut his ties with his parents. He could not go to visit them because he needs to ask permission from his husband first. And his husband always takes his visits wrongly. Accusing his parents of money-milking them.
