Balloon
"Palit tayo," Chance said to me.
"Ayaw ko rin ng spicy!" ani Xuri at ngumuso. Kinuha niya iyong tray ni Chance at ipinalit sa kanya.
Seryoso ba na fake dating lang silang dalawa?
"Tss! Ayaw daw, no'ng nakaraan lang tumitira ng dynamite sa food bazaar," Gelo whispered.
Okay, wait? Did I miss out on something?
Grant suddenly took my tray and exchanged it to his. Bumalik din si Jax sa upuan niya na para bang may nabigong gawin.
"Thank you," I told Grant and started eating.
Walang sili iyong sa kay Grant, buti na lang! I don't eat spicy food. My spice tolerance is very low, kaya kahit kaunting anghang lang ay hindi ko na kaya.
Pulang-pula si Grant pag tapos at para siyang masusuka. Siya ang pinaka naunang tumayo sa amin.
"Anong nangyari ro'n?" Gelo asked.
"I-I don't know..." I said and scratched my head a little.
"Actually, he don't like spicy food too," Chance said while eating beside Xuri.
Hala! Ba't niya pa kinuha?
Oh no... I should get him a milk! I have one with me!
Pagkatapos ng lunch break, Prof. Somero told us to take an hour to relax at magpalipas ng busog. Pagkatapos ay may games na raw ulit.
"Bakit ka nakabusangot?" Xuri asked when we both entered our room.
Hindi ko naman masabi na irita pa rin ako kay Jax at Claire. The feelings won't subside. Why am I so bitter?
Xuri suddenly put her hands over my shoulders. "Wag kang pa sad girl! Lumandi ka. Buhay ka pa!"
My jaw dropped. Literally. Xuriella Ocampo and her blatant words...
"You'll find a guy! There's plenty of fish in the sea!" dagdag pa niya.
But I love that one emotionally distant salmon... Named Jax.
I crossed my arms. "The sea is full of trash. The fishes are dying. That's why we have global warming, Xuri!"
Xuri took a deep breath. Tila nababasa ako. "Fine then! Babawiin natin si Jax, 'wag kang mag-alala!"
"You never told me that they were together," I pouted.
"Kasi hindi naman? Feelingera lang naman ang Claire na 'yon. Hangga't walang sinasabi si Jax, wala lang 'yon..." giit ni Xuri, tila pinapalakas lang ang loob ko.
I was about to ask Xuri about what's really going on between her and Chance when I suddenly remembered Grant! Bibigyan ko pala siya ng milk!
Kinuha ko sa mini ref iyong baon ko na fresh milk at nagpunta na sa room ni Grant. Magkakalapit lang naman iyong rooms namin.
Kakatok na sana ako pero nagulat ako nang biglang may lumabas doon sa pintuan. What is Jax doing here? Ito ang room ni Grant, right? Don't tell me that they are roommates?!
"I-Is Grant inside?" I asked without looking at him. Nakatingin lang ako sa may pintuan.
Jax didn't answer me. He just walked away.
