Couple
Tinutulak siya ni Violet at ni Jenny para tuluyang makaakyat doon. Kitang-kita ko pa kung paano siya dahan-dahang lumapit kay Jax.
"Ayie!" tilian iyon ng mga estudyante.
I immediately stood up and walked away. I don't want to see it. I don't want to see any of it!
No one can explain how bad I really feel right now!
She's even wearing a princess costume and I'm here, wearing a snail! I look stupid, gusto kong mag-cry!
I want to run but my foot still hurts. I covered my face with both of my hands because tears are flowing down my cheeks. I hate it!
"Cali!" I heard a voice calling me.
Alam ko kung sino iyon kaya naman agad akong napahinto.
"What?!" sigaw ko pero hindi ako lumingon sa kanya. "Why are you here? There ka na!"
I immediately wiped my tears harshly. I don't want him to see that I'm crying!
"Cal, let's talk..." Jax softly said.
"No!" I shouted again. "Bitawan mo nga ako!"
"Hindi kita hawak?" aniya at parang natawa pa.
Agad akong napatingin sa braso ko at hindi nga. Oh gosh! Why did I even say that? Mas lalo lang ako nainis. Argh!
"Whatever!" I said.
Before I could even take a step, he already held my arm. "Ngayon pa lang," Jax said and made me turn around to face him.
Masama ko siyang tinignan. "Ano want mo?"
"Ikaw."
Kumunot ang noo ko roon. "Doon ka na sa C mo!"
"Nandito na nga," he said and looked at me intently. "Ikaw ang C ko."
My tears are such traitors because they're falling down once again. Kasabay pa noon ang mabilis na pagtibok ng puso ko.
"Kung may gusto man ako, laging ikaw 'yon."
He's making my heart hurt, but in a good kind of way. I keep on wiping my tears that are flowing down my face. Why am I such a cry baby?!
Sinamaan ko ulit siya ng tingin. "I thought you liked Paige," halos pabulong iyon.
He smiled a little and scratched his head. "Akala ko rin."
"But?" I asked confused.
"But then I met you..." he said and took another step. We are now so close to each other. "You make me happy, Cali."
"Ginawa mo pa akong clown!" giit ko.
"No one can do it like how you do it," Jax added.
I was stunned when he gently held my hand.
"You are the one that I want to be my girlfriend, Calixta Naiam."
Mabilis na umuwang ang bibig ko roon. "G-Girlfriend?"
Pakiramdam ko ang pula-pula ng mukha ko ngayon!
When he said those words, it felt like the whole world suddenly stopped. Na parang tumigil ang lahat, maliban sa aming dalawa.
Jax nodded slowly.
I put my hand over my chest. Pinapasakit niya ang puso ko.
"I-I shop a lot," giit ko pa.
