Now this, this spot is way better for her and I. The waves clashed in and out the sand. I flashed back to when Ethan drove us here after saving my ass from the cops chasing after me.

Sorry Ethan, but this spot is seriously way too much of a romantic spot to be having a sentimental conversation with you at the time. I say a romantic spot but the weather is dreadful today, gloomy all over.

"The ocean looks so gloomy," she let out a sigh of relief while looking at the ocean.

Yeah, thanks weather. When I said I'll take her to a more better place than Colin did, I don't mean to show her this gloomy sight.

We walked along the beach with waves clashing in and out the shore. The wind started picking up with cold breeze surrounding us, making the temperature drop more. And the way we had been drenched earlier in the drizzle wasn't helping.

She was walking in front of me while I followed close by, gazing at her footprints in the sand. Her posture halted and turned around.

I quickly look up at her, "What?"

"It's too quiet. Say something. We should get to know each other!" She smiled but my eyes caught her small shiver from the cold.

"Hmm, from what I know we both have shitty parent stories. You sometimes feel like an empty shell. You like playing the piano but not when they order you too. You also—"

She tiptoed, reaching her hands out to shut my mouth.

"Stopppp!" She panicked.

"Also did I mention—"

She covered my mouth again with her hands.

I push through, "Mother, father," came out muffled through her hands.

She shot me a playful annoyed look, dropping her hands back down and folded her arms.

I laughed in return.

"You're so insufferable!" She said with an angry tone but her expression showed otherwise.

I cockily smirk, "You love it, and you know it."

Her playful anger shifted to a slightly gaped look, with her eyebrows lifted and her lips slightly parted. A rosey pink tint slowly took place on her cheeks.

And I remain gazing at her, standing my ground this time, instead of looking away from her gaze. The warmth on my cheeks spread despite the cool air and my eyes naturally hooded, contorting to a semi-serious look.

It's true that I told her about how I felt but she hasn't made any initiation to bring that topic back up. What's going on in that pretty head of her's?

She gulped, clearing her throat and looked away, continuing to walk. "Though it is getting pretty cold," she shivered again, quickly changing the topic.

It wasn't cold early in the morning and I hadn't grabbed any jacket with me. I mean, it's summer. Why would it be cold? But today, the rain didn't hold back. Rewriting the summer weather to turn the complete opposite.

I stopped walking, watching her back distancing. "Snob!" I call out and open my arms wide with a smile.

She turned to look and asked, "What are you doing?" raising an eyebrow at me.

I tapped my right hand on my chest and stretched open my arms again, "Come."

She stood there stunned and maybe even more confused.

"Haven't you heard body to body warmth? It helps both people to keep warm if they stick together." I could feel my cheeks and ears engulfing in hot warmth from a rising embarrassment, but I couldn't back down. Not now. I had to fully commit after already having my arms open for her and suggesting to hug.
