Alec pov
"Ah fuck," I scoffed while I put both of my hands behind my head. The flashlight was directly pointed in my direction.

"Don't turn around! Keep your hands up," a tense tone spoke from behind me. "We've got you now, you can't run away," he sounded proud.

I let go of the spray paint can that I was holding on my right hand. It made a loud, hopefully distracting enough sound. So that they can lower their guard and shift their focus to the sound of the can.

"You were almost done. My beautiful artwork," I murmured.

"Don't make any more movements!" He sounded tense again.

And I booked it.

"HEY!" He yelled.

I could hear all the people, well officers' footsteps running behind me. Are they even officers? Okay, maybe security that guards these restricted areas. My lungs burned. Oh fuck, I'm dead if I turn to a dead end. My heart rate was through the roof and my breath was getting heavier and heavier.

Some guy ran in front of me, "You can't escape now buddy!"

"Not your buddy." I flash him a quick smirk and cockily look at him, pausing.

He grinned.

And I booked it again, running in the opposite direction. I caught a glimpse of his shocked expression before I was fully running.

"Shit!" He let out a few curse words underneath his tired huffs. His footsteps sped up again, running behind me.

"HEY GET IN!" A familiar voice called when I got out of the abandoned building.

A sigh of relief escapes out of me and my whole body relaxes seeing the familiar car of Ethan's. I quickly got in, Ethan drove off to the next town over.

"How'd you know I was here?" I panted.

"Whenever something upsets you, you go around doing stupid shit. So I followed you."

I widened my eyes, "You followed me for days?!"

He didn't reply for a moment, pausing like he was contemplating. "I just saw you coincidentally going somewhere today. That's all." He unpaused.

I nod, trying to settle my breathing.

He parked near a beach. "Look, I'm not going to ask you what made you act out last time at Cecilia's. But can you not ignore us?"

Blankly staring at the ocean waves crashing in and out, "This is way too much of a romantic spot to be having a sentimental conversation with you right now." I semi-joked with a serious expression.

His eyes widened, "That's not—" He looked like he was flustered, "Whatever there's no way I'm getting you to talk about it am I?" A defeated look formed on his face.

I quickly nod at him and smile.

"Well, let's head back yeah?" He shook his head, focusing on the road in front.

"Yeah. You at least covered your number plate right?"

"Who do you take me for? Whenever it involves you, it's always something illegal. So of course I did."

"Ha," I chuckle.

I'm relieved that Ethan is actually here to give me a ride. I finished my money on my way to the other town. The graffiti was beautiful yet horrendous. Whatever, it's Seth's town anyway, a gift from me to an asshole.

"Since you've not hung out with us in a while and you left in bad terms. Do you want to go to Cindy's? Everyone is going tonight," Ethan asked like nothing happened between us.
