Seth is someone who used to go to the same school as us in our town. The whole gang or the group of men he has in his group aren't really gang affiliated.
We're just a couple of delinquent morons, really. The look Seth had when he accidentally stabbed me on my thigh should be a dead give away that he was nothing but a poser. And me? I hated his guts.
The next best option beside staying back at my own place to rest and getting beaten up again was to stay over or crash into my friend's. So I went over to Kyle's. Colin and I were mainly skipping our summer classes. The others kept going. How the hell does their body work even after all that shit?
Recalling back to when my thigh was spewing out blood nonstop, I must've been out of my mind to ask snob to stay with me. I don't like when people stick around to see me in my vulnerable state.
But I felt like if I had let her go at that time. She'd be gone for good... What does that mean? Gone from what? My eyebrows furrowed at the thought.
Anyway... Who cares? Why am I being so invested? It's not like I forced her to stay. She had a choice, she could have ran to Colin either way.
"I somehow feel superior to Colin!" A booming loud laugh escaped my mouth and a sharp pain followed after, reminding me that I am still injured. Agh—
"What are you manically laughing about by yourself?" Kyle asked, tossing his keys on the countertop nearby the front door.
My head quickly turned from the sofa I was lying on towards him, "Oh you're home."
"Yeah and guess what? Someone is throwing another party," Kyle semi-yelled, as he walked into the kitchen, allowing his voice to reach where I was lying. I could hear him open the fridge and grab a plastic bottle of water out of it, twisting its cap, gulping down.
"No way! It's only been like a few days. Cindy?!" I sprang up and walked towards Kyle.
"Yeah? You excited?" He raised an eyebrow.
"No, I mean yes for the party cause I'm so bored of staying here bedridden and no for meeting up with her," I let out a smile.
Kyle shook his head as we both headed back into the living room.
"Well, get ready to go. Everyone's planning to meet up at Cecilia's first."
"Yo— I'll go ahead first!" I blurted out in excitement and left his house in a swift manner.
I haven't seen snob after getting stitches from the hospital a few days ago. I wonder how she's hanging, I know for a fact that being dragged into all this mess is something she has never experienced.
My chest was heaving as I semi-jogged up the slanted uphill road that led up to the gates of her aunt's mansion. Totally distracted to feel the discomfort of the stab wound.
The gates would usually be left semi-open but when I got up there, it was closed today. I rang the bell and found myself eagerly waiting. Walking past the automatic gates that opened, I walked up to the front door.
Snob had an appealing smile that beamed on display, my gaze landed on her lips for a split second before meeting back with her eyes. They were the colour of chocolate, not dark to the point you can't tell if it was brown but it was light enough to see even without the sunlight directly hitting against it.
"What's up?" She smiled.
Her tone pierced into my trance-like state perking up my ears. I shook my head, recomposing myself, "Uh... What's with the get-up?"
She was wearing a short white flowy dress and had a silver flower crown on her head. Her hair was styled into wavy curls and her face looked glammed up.
